22" RAM OEM WHEELS FLAKING/PEELING - 2022 RAM LIMITED 10th Anniv. Edition

Anyone else having issues with 22" OEM Factory wheels flaking and peeling of the clearcoat? I found a discussion from a few years ago on this forum where a dealer replaced the wheels under warranty. My dealer is telling me that RAM will not warranty my wheels. Truck is still under factory warranty.

Just spoke to @RamCares, they told me wheels are not covered under warranty.

That's crazy. Maybe because people using wrong chemicals to clean them.

Wheels are covered by 3/36 basic warranty. They have to be preapproved by Ram warranty, dealer has to submit pictures and notes.

I think they are going the route of "damaged by the customer" vs factory defact by telling OP to go screw.

I had a wheel that had clear coat failure/peeling and it was replaced under the 3/36,000 warranty last summer.

That happened when I got snow tires on my 2012 Camaro at the Chevy dealership all 4 rims had to be replaced because they destroyed the clearcoat.

I also have a 2022 RAM Limited and bought it with 20,000 miles. Wheels have clear coat coming off. Clearly a defect as with this many miles it should not be like this. My dealer has tried and I called them 3 times!! First time I called some CSA did say they would cover them, ticket was sent to my dealer. They sent back the request to RAM and then 10 days later they call me to deny me. I called coiuple times and asked for a supervisor, also called me tonight and denied to help me. They are clearly a defective clear coat and tried to explain this. I am not happy for the price you pay for this vehicle. My first RAM and probably my last..... I am not happy. they look like crap.
