2025 RAM 1500 Parasitic Battery Drain

I've been chasing dead battery issues on my 2023 1500 limited for a year plus. Part of it the problem is on me. My truck is for trips and I do not drive it much around the city. I need to exercise it for often. The first time I had it in the dealer diagnosed a bad battery and replaced it. After 2-3 weeks not being driven battery was dead again. Service manager said most of the new vehicles on their lot have to be jumped after 3 weeks and said it was the daily constant "pinging" that all of the telemetric devices were undergoing. I'm trying to drive it more often and now have it on a battery tender.

Was gone for a month overseas, the darn thing hesitated/turned over slow to start.

I have an almost exact same situation. They have ordered me a new truck. I have owned my truck for about 6 months (Tungsten) and it has been at the dealer for almost half of that time. I know longer trust this truck to start and it has left me stranded more than once. Hopefully new one is not a problem. Stellantis is supposed to cover the cost gap with the deal so it should be zero out of pocket for me.
I have had a similar experience with my 25 Laramie. Been at dealership for the last 5+ weeks. Last plan was to replace the batteries and alternator. 3 days later battery voltage was 10V. Still at the dealer and no explanation of what next. How did you make contact with Stellantis corporate? That has proven much more difficult than it should be.

Recent adventure with 21 Rebel under extended warranty. You basically have to annoy Ram customer support, until they advance you to the next level. In my case it was 2 levels, non-native English speakers, likely offshore contractors. Hard to understand, so did most comms on email. Level 2 eventually assigned me to a "RAM retention specialist". This guy was in Michigan corporate and spoke perfect English. I believe that's the top of their customer support hierarchy.

Let us use some google foo to see if we can't get this thread escalated with corporate...
So Stellantis email format is [email protected]

Chairman: John Elkann [email protected]
CEO: Antonio Filosa [email protected]
Vice Chairman: Robert Peugeot [email protected]

and so on. (As found here: Board of Directors )

You can also look them up on linked in or other professional sights of similar nature and initiate contact attempts there.

I would put together an email to each of these individuals, send it with professional verbiage. Preferably from a professional email account not gmail or yahoo. Sign it with your actual name with your contact information. Be details about the dealership you're working with and the hurdles you have had to jump through with no lasting resolution as of yet.

Also link this forum to show that this isn't a one off scenario that many users that communicate on this 'fan' forum are experiencing this same issue with New vehicles.

Ask that they have someone look into this and reach out to you and this forum with a contact to use to coordinate research and resolution for this outstanding issue without a broader public outcry.

For fun CC yourself, and advise your next follow up email in 1 week will include regional investigative news organizations for those reporting the issue in these forums that are aware of.

This way you will likely get an administrative assistant to navigate the Stellantis red tape, and try and get this in the hands of an upper level person in their support organization to address. The last bit about the news orgs I would actually leave out to start.

Best thing is they get a case opened to research the issue properly have those of us here with the issue drop off our vehicles for research and remedy, Put folks in loaners. And get a bulletin out there on how to properly fix this going forward that can be published here.

Or @RamCares could you know coordinate something like this with whatever levers they have available to navigate this scenario and not just leave passionate loyal customers in the wind trying to find a way to get the Stellantis corporation to give a crap about them AFTER collecting their money.

Service Advisor Here.

Have your dealers check the Software level of the Drivetrain Control Module.

I had a tip from an area rep for a couple weeks had at my shop. If the software level ends in AH or earlier then the module needs to be replaced. There is a bug with the AH software where the module can wake up and run the front axle disconnect until the battery dies. There is no software fix for it, you have to replace the module.

This fixed 2 ‘25 Rams we had here.

Somebody needs to pin this or add it to a locked Common issues thread somewhere that is pinned!!
