2025 Ram 1500 Current Owners - Discussion, Feedback, and Problems

Thanks, I'm going to have a warranty inspection done.
Let us know what they say.
I plan on ordering a Laramie in a couple months. The only reason I am going Laramie instead of Big Horn is to get a power passenger seat. You can get just about any other option on the BH, but no power passenger seat.
Seems like all the car companies make you spend more on a higher trim package to get the power seat. There is no reason the power seat cannot be made an option since all the wiring is probably there.

Here's what worked for me to reset oil level after oil change;
wait one day, warm up engine for an hour, turn off, turn on without starting engine, turn off after about 2 minutes, start engine and oil light is off and display shows accurate oil level.

Yes. But the question is: Why? What’s the reason behind that decision?
I can’t figure it out. Or why the interior lighting stays on while the gate’s down.
For the lights, I’d say lazy programming (since the gate locks and unlocks with the door) for the charger… your gues is as good as mine

The Google Robot said this:
  • Key Fob/NFC Interference Mitigation: One of the most cited technical reasons for this specific behavior in newer vehicles across several brands (not just Ram) is preventing the electromagnetic field of the Qi charger from interfering with the Near Field Communication (NFC) or the passive entry/key fob detection systems. The truck needs to reliably detect where the key fob is (inside vs. outside the vehicle) to operate correctly. Disabling the charger during an "open door" state helps ensure accurate key detection.
But, also, it claims the interior light on with tailgate open is likely an intentional act to let you really know the gate is open 🤷🏻‍♂️🤨
