I have an appointment scheduled for Wednesday regarding this issue, but what's the point if there is no resolution? My 2017 functioned normally, and there was an option in UConnect to enable or disable this feature. The 2025 manual indicates it is a feature. I'm assuming RAM is aware by now, and it would be an added feature with a future update for UConnect 5. Crazy it is taking this long though.2025 Ram 1500 Rebel with 5800 miles and same issue. Dealership tried to fix with the help of a technician but does not work. I have an open case with Ram on it.
Dealership states RAM is aware and fix will be in a future update.RAM is dragging their feet for sure. I have read so many 2025 owners are having the issue. My son opened the door going down the road is how I found out. Very scary moment for my wife and I.
The door lock issue is just a software glitch that should be figured out later on. My BigHorn has the auto locking feature.Recently purchased a 2025 Ram 1500 Laramie loaded. No auto door locks like my 2011 had. I spoke with my salesman, service manager and GM of dealership about the doors not locking when 10 or 15 mph is reached. It's sad to say, but I know more about the vehicle then they do collectively. I was told it's only an option on Limited or Tungsten. I was told that I need to program that function in the U-connect programming screen. I was told to look at the forums online about this issue. I also called Ram customer care. Once I presented my question about the auto door lock function, I was disconnected from the call. I also had questions about the digital key card that came with the vehicle. Once again, NOBODY could give me a definitive answer about how to program it. It's too bad, that after purchasing a $75K vehicle, nobody can help you with important issues or questions an owner of said vehicle may have. I'm hoping the door lock issue is just a software glitch. I can't understand why this hasn't been figured out. If any Ram guys have any more info on this matter, please post it.
The auto door lock feature should be addressed in a future update to UC5. The ability to use the RAMAPP and your phone to unlock doors, etc. Ram is aware and will be available in the future. I have a 2025 limited longhorn with the exact same problem. Called the help number, after getting bounced around they tried to tell me that I do not have this option. I explained her that every vehicle manufactured after like 2005 has this option. Some may have the option to turn it off. So they instructed me to do a soft reset. And then that didn’t help either. So she then proceeded to tell me that since this feature didn’t come up, then it doesn’t have it. So I told her I would just contact the dealer when I get an oil change. It wasn’t until I came to this forum that I realized that the dealers are aware of this problem and are supposedly trying to correct the issue. With no date in sight. What’s worse, they know about this but yet acted like it isn’t a feature on the truck. And I didn’t know what I was talking about. How is this such a widespread problem and yet the helpdesk acts like they know nothing of it.?!?! Beyond frustrated for something so simple.I have a 2025 Limited Longhorn but it does not have the auto door lock when you get over 15 MPH. Does any else have this problem on know when Ram will send out a new Uconnect update? Mine Firmware is FCA-MY24.U31.42-PROD.
Thanks

I just want to pop down the street and pick up a kid from sports practice etc WITHOUT being glared at when the door handle snaps back in their hand. Can’t see the control in safety/locks and can’t shut it off!Peopls
e have been waiting two years, for them to come up with a fix, for gauges not working in the center stack. The dealer just says they are aware of the problem.
Thank you for posting this. I'll be visiting my dealership today. Fortunately, I personally know the GM there and I'll pass along your post to him. Hopefully they will be able to fix my 2025 Laramie as well. I'll let y'all know what the outcome was.Posting this in case it helps others having the same issue. I purchased my 2025 Limited in late December 2024. I noticed the speed controlled auto locks were not functioning and could not find the setting that was supposed to be in the menu to turn it on. I took it in for service and mentioned it to the service advisor and pointed out that I had heard of at least one case (in this thread) of it being fixed with the help of Star Tech. I'm happy to report that they were able to fix it quickly and provided a key reference on the service ticket that might be helpful to others. The ticket noted the following:
"Referenced STAR case S2508000003. Performed the enable speed control locks in the IPC via witech."
If your dealer still doesn't know how to address it, providing that STAR case to them might just help.
There's one caveat though. I still don't see the option in the UConnect menu to turn it on or off so I suppose it's now permanently on for me. Hopefully, a future update to the software will add that feature back in the menu as it should be.
