I did a search and all I could find was stuff about the TRX steering wheel and the most recent post was was a TRX steering wheel going on 2023 eco diesel.
Back story, I was planning on getting an RHO but I got to re-looking at the Rebels and I always liked them. I went to a local dealership and test-drove a more base model Rebel (no GT/Rebel X no level 2 group) and then I also test-drove a Rebel X they had on the lot. I loved how paddle shifters were and how the leather-wrapped steering wheel felt in my hands. So I decided I wanted to go with Rebel X if possible. But when the salesman tried to build one he could not see the rebel x package option in his build configurator, nor could he see the GT package. I do like the felt/fabric lined upper center console but it is not the end all be all. However, the steering is a bit of a big deal for me.
Bottom line. Is it possible to take a stock Rebel steering wheel ("image-20" below) and swap it for a Rebel X or Rebel GT steering ("Handiri Cars...." below)? I see on the stock wheel there are gear limit buttons and drive mode buttons, I am hoping the paddle shifters can at least function as gear limit buttons but since I would not have the console shifter the drive mode buttons would have to be able to be put on the new steering wheel.
Anyone have any experience with this? Or should I look at higher trim level steering wheels that are also leather-wrapped like from a limited maybe?
