Okay I have a 2024 Ram tradesman I’m wanting to activate my remote start !
I have downloaded the Alfa OBD app
I purchased the OBDlinkMX+obdll
I have purchased a remote start key that was recommended
I have a factory hood ajar sensor that came with truck already

I am curious what else am I needing to program my truck to turn on factory Remote start. And do I need the security bypass cables to make this happen. Can anyone send me step by step instructions,On how to do this? I’ve seen a lot of people tagging @Jimmy07 and was wondering if he is who could help me thanks.

That’s the behavior when the gateway is not bypassed. Do you have a bypass installed when making that change?

As noted above you will need a security gateway bypass cable and it will need to be installed. Once installed, you will connect your MX+ to the OBD II port on the end of the security bypass cable.
The security gateway is preventing you from writing/making changes to the various modules you are trying to program/modify.
