Hey guys, I was at my local dealer today and noticed a 2023 5th gen ram 1500 that looked like a backcountry package. Although it had warlock stickers on the bed. Brand new off of the truck at dealer. I forgot to take pics but is there a reason a 5th gen would have warlock decals brand new? Is the 5th gen being rebranded as a classic soon possibly?

You can still buy brand new 2023 1500 "Classic" ... which is pretty much a brand new 4th Gen.

Ill get pics later, it was not a 4th gen body. It was a 5th gen body with what looked like the backcountry package with warlock decals. I was just curious if it was a mess up at the factory. Ill go back later and snap some pics. They had 2 of them

I heard about it, not much detail, here is an article that touches on it....

"The 2024 Ram 1500 Warlock trim comes to the new generation DT truck lineup. The Warlock is (or was) currently available in the 2023 Ram 1500 Classic (DS) generation. There is no information yet about the 2024 Ram 1500 Classic or the 2024 Ram HD lineup."

Looks like a Night edition Big Horn with different offset wheels, maybe the ORG?

I was browsing on rams website. Apparently there is an offroad group for the tradesman? I think thats what it is. I seen them unload it today off at the dealer while I was browsing.

Well that confirms that 2024 models are hitting the dealership, which someone mentioned will be short year since they will be releasing the 2025 mid-cycle refresh sooner than normal.

Can't wait to see what they look like and if you can still get a V8 in the 1500 size class.

I listened to one of their podcasts yesterday. It was one hour of them talking about everything imaginable besides the title of the episode.

It had the 5.7 with e torque, interior was no different than a 22-23 bighorn interior. Still no digital cluster.

The Classic (DS) models are on a different timeline than the 5th Gen (DT) models, and they’re built in a different factory. All the talk about a short 2024 model year are specific to the DT.

Yup, that's what I was talking about. The 2024 models I'm mentioning is the DT Warlock, as per the article and the picture the OP posted. That means 2024 DT models are on the lot, unless there was a 2023 DT Warlock I didn't know about?

If the 2024's DT models are already on the dealership lot, then it would confirm the short 2024 model year to make way for the mid-cycle 2025 DT.

There are no 2024 production DT’s yet. See if you can find the VIN for this mystery truck.

Then that's quite a mystery truck. There are no reports of a Warlock DT for 2023, so maybe a late trim addition or maybe a dealership custom?

On a separate note, they have the 2024 info on Mopar's website, that digital gauge update is pretty awesome looking....
