2023 fob question

I have the standard 2 button remote for my big horn lone star, 1500, I bought 2 remotes from eBay that are linked in the add remote starts topic, because I want to do the remote start, and tailgate open.
The dealer wants 300 to program then, and I read on this forum that the fob board have the spots for a momentary switches to be installed and it showed an amazon link to them, yet for the life of me I’m unable to find the thread again, and wondering if anyone would be so kind to share that info?

I have the skills to do the soldiering that’s not problem.

I already bought new key fob with uncut key if I have a locksmith program it will the tailgate release work or does the dealer actually have to activate the tailgate release option 2021 ram 1500 big horn

Like evank33 mentioned, it’ll just work. Also, it’s been discovered that the circuit for the release button is already on the fob circuit board (and remote start also) for the HD Rams, so I’m guessing they are there on the DT fobs. You could buy some 4 pin buttons, and solder them in place. You won’t have the labeling on the fob overlay, but...
