2022 Orders

i would not believe so

i would hope they would not build a frame if they were not going to build the whole truck
If your truck is " missing" something its gonna sit in JB or JS status, Also if your vehicle is missing something so to speak it's usually a chip and not something substantial like you know a panel glass roof. Truck is BUILT it just may be missing a module or some other component that would not effect its ability to pass inspection

Guys please help me understand this. Sandi @ MD emailed me this morning to let me know my truck is scheduled to start production 1/17/2022. She sent a fresh POC but the ship date is still blank and it still shows status "D". Is Stellantis just throwing dates out there now so that people with sold orders will leave them alone? I hit up RAM chat a minute ago and got the same message from them, "waiting on parts blah blah blah" but we all know how reliable their information is.

She did say that my truck was the only one that Stellantis didn't try to change. Still have Rebel Level 2 and Rebel 12A.

Just got the call my Limited 10th Ann. edition just landed at the dealer .. going to pick it up next week ... GM at dealer told me to wait till after Nov. 24th. to sign for the truck. Ram will be offering 0% for 84 months or $1,500 rebate .... lm going with the $1,500 .... just fyi ... hope this helps.....

Sandi just emailed me a response stating that she got the info from their inside rep and the POC just hasn't been updated yet. Not sure how to feel just yet. It's nice to have a date finally but it's still two months out!! Bittersweet.

I pushed my dealers GM about a week ago and he emailed the Stellantis rep. He then fwd'ed me the exact email with a tentative build week listed. given 1/17 is a Monday, the date I was given was a Monday and the other forecasted dates are Mondays. I think they are using their best judgement of when the parts will arrive. IMO they have to be looking at things far out, but maybe I am just used to that being how everyone else forecasting parts arrivals for manufacturing works.

Your POC won't change until production actually starts. The dates we are all given are tentative and subject to change, the email I got fwd'ed even used similar wording. We all know RAM chat sucks and doesn't get to see nearly as much.

I'm starting to hear several anecdotes (on both forums) about regional reps or other supervisors providing estimated build dates before they're officially published. I doubt that this is smoke and mirrors...I think the factory is allowing them to provide some additional information that they weren't allowed to share previously. Most likely due to everyone (dealers and buyers) screaming about the lack of information.

Ram will be offering this when exactly, in december?

On new 22’s? Know of any other details on this incentive?

this seems in line with what @HAG1417 Was saying, theres info the reps have they couldnt previously divulge, maybe now they are changing because im sure they are seeing a LOT of cancellations and customers going elsewhere

again the info seems real in that the rep is IN charge of effectively all of his districts orders, they NEED some way of auditing their orders to make sure that when an order is placed its not overlooked, there's no way ram has tens of millions of dollars in a manufacturing software that can only plan a build two weeks out, as soon as you hit D status, algorithms go hard to work to determine a approximate build schedule in line with all of the other factors, they 100% have generalized timelines on every vin issued, obviously subject to changing just as external factors(parts availability) do.
Maybe now they decided dealers should have this info to dissuade buyers from cancelling due to effectively being ignored

Since everyone is mentioning it, I ended up going in person to my dealership yesterday with build sheets and charts in hand (thanks can't be said enough Eighty & triple_B) it suprised the saleslady, and the manager. They should be talking with a rep today (not that I'm expecting much action) and giving me a call back to tell me why my truck is held up when I could build mine with higher VIN trucks ($$$)

Want to know how to dissuade buyers from cancelling? Build the trucks in order!!! I understand orders for MY2021 being converted but there's no way dealerships should have trucks on the lot before people who got in line 5-6 months ago.

I think what we're all being told with scheduled build dates is as accurate information as is available. I think mine of 12/6 makes sense based on other posters with similar well optioned Limiteds being told that same timeframe. I mean, they know what they're doing to do and when they're going to do it long before a vehicle actually moves to D1. It's not like they're ordering parts being delivered from FedEx that just show up unannounced one day after tracking info didn't update for a week.

My dealer questioned the factory rep last week who told him the factory estimated build date would be 12/8. He said that doesn't show on his end but I found out from ram chat this morning that I'm now D1 so there might just be some accurate info from the factory reps getting put out there.

I am not saying this is a deliberate action. (That would require coordination beyond what we have seen previously.) However, why would FCA want to dissuade people from cancelling? A dealer might, a sales person would, however I'm not seeing significant excess inventory yet.

If a cancelled order allows for a sale closer to MSRP, or in my case a switch to a more expensive truck, the motivations to keep a customer on a long standing order are all upside down.

I got the word from my dealers Factory Rep that my heavily optioned Rebel is scheduled the week of 6 DEC, I hope all of these clues line up and come to be
