I don’t know but after Eight stated that it looked like my order didn’t get submitted for about 10 or 12 days after I placed the order, I inquired with my dealer. They say it was kicked back and finally accepted 10 days later. Maybe they also figured that no sane individual would submit a build like mine without being able to see what it was going to look like first. Anyway I’m told everything’s hunky dory now. I just got put in the back of the line.Where did the info about a possible audit come from?
I'll agree to disagree on the filigree as I personally really like it. That being said, the quilted pattern is a nice departure/change and it looks really nice overall (they've applied it all over the interior) Unfortunately (I've ranted quite a bit about it already) RAM made the choice to put CLOTH inserts (sizeable at that) in the front and rear seats as well as the door panels. Cloth is durable-no argument there, but when these 10th Anniversary trucks are clearly being advertised as the "pinnacle" of the food chain in luxury interiors for pickups that's a blatant lie. We previously had 100% leather seating in these trucks before (and very high quality leather at that-THICK and supple)
I don't mind the cloth in the door panels so much but on the seats it's going to make them much more difficult to detail properly and keep clean. It also from a mentality standpoint going to bug me. That's why I'm researching pretty heavily and considering having the seats custom-upholstered in full leather with darker grey/indigo on the seating surfaces. I'll also have the RAM's head embroidered in the headrests and the Limited and/or EcoDiesel badging embroidered near the top of the front seatbacks.
My wife and I talked about the cloth last night. We kinda came to the conclusion that the designers wanted it to be different, and being all leather wouldn't be really different. We think the cloth in the doors is unique, especially if it has a premium feel. As we talked about it, the realization that the couch and lounge chair in our living room is very close to material in this truck. And they weren't cheap haha. I really think it comes down to RAM trying to differentiate from other trims. They accomplished that, but clearly not everyone is happy with it. As long as it has a premium couch type feel, I think we will be good with it. 1998 Honda Civic seats, not so much.I actually don't mind the filigree on the door (the "laser stitched" or whatever they call it) and the subtle ones in the dash/around the gauges, I just found the ones on the seats to be a little overkill.
Otherwise I completely agree about the cloth, I found that very odd when I read that too. Might as well make it leather/denim. The leather/suede of the 10th longhorn certainly made a lot more sense than that from the luxury standpoint.
Just to throw some perspective in here. I don’t walk off of a construction site and sit on my premium couch. But I do jump into my truck. My wife and I talked about the cloth last night. I do agree completely with it most likely being a differentiation decision. I'm just very surprised they didn't use Suede (MicroSuede) instead of cloth OR put some Indigo accents in it. In my opinion if the areas they chose to use cloth had Indigo leather inserts in them that would have been awesome looking. I'll see how they look/hold up once my truck arrives and if I feel inclined I'll address it with the Katzkin or equivalent. After being in contact with them it appears they truly do use the "factory/OEM" seat cut pattern not only for fit but aesthetics. So far they have not been able to definitively answer whether they can source a factory-match Indigo color of leather-still working on that-but otherwise they can do everything else I want including some badass embroidery. My wife and I talked about the cloth last night. Yes!Looks like Ram has started issuing VINs again. I just saw a VIN in the mid 171,000’s (last I had seen before that was mid-168000’s). I’m surprised it’s that low, given that there’s a week of pent-up orders. I imagine it will hit 180k soon.
Class IV is standard on the 2021’s. No reason to believe it’s not on the 2022’s.So I was poking around on the Ram CA build and price and noticed that they have the Class IV Receiver Hitch as an option, i.e. it's not standard.
I have a full list of standard features for the Limited from my dealer, but I'm 99% sure it's for the 21's. Anyone have any insight on this?
What’s the VIN?What trim is this? Says 2022 1500. Evidently Longhorn, but does not give description beyond that.
Just an order page, not an actual specific vehicle. Still, no explanation on this color, but it does say it’s “black/new saddle with leather trim.” Makes me wonder if the 2022s will look slightly different from the 2021s. Just the Internet, so could be computer generated, and not reliable. What’s the VIN?
I'm seeing it as an option, not standard under Limited's for 2021 on the Canadian B and P site. Regardless of if it's standard or not though are there normally differences between what is standard in the US vs Canada? Or is it normally identical?Class IV is standard on the 2021’s. No reason to believe it’s not on the 2022’s.

There are a LOT of similarities/same features on the Canadian trucks, but a decent amount of differences on packaging and/or available options. I noticed they don't get the 33 gallon fuel tank option with the EcoDiesel up there. Not sure why other than there may be a stipulation of how many gallons of fuel a LD truck can legally carry and/or be licensed for??So I was poking around on the Ram CA build and price and noticed that they have the Class IV Receiver Hitch as an option, i.e. it's not standard.

I saw that on the hitch as well and not sure why there either. I know these manufacturers have to "jump through hoops" with some features to adhere to that particular country's laws and regulations. Some of simply has to do with how the trucks are generally purchased and/or packaged to be competitive in that market as well.
I had another useless session with RamChat earlier this afternoon (I couldn't bring myself to validate with a bogus name and address ), but was "assured" the US B&P was coming very soon and they were going to email me the MY22 brochure "immediately" That was 4 hours ago and no email....I'm not going to hold my breath.....I reiterated to them no less than three times I was NOT interested in either a print or electronic copy of a MY 19-21 brochure or otherwise. I was only interested in the MY22 full brochure.
Tuesday is going to be interesting.Oh this should be interesting.
These pics are of a 2021. The UConnect shots are not version 5.Just an order page, not an actual specific vehicle. You mean this isn't a one-way street????Any chance we can put together some sort of pact where we all agree that if someone’s truck get built before yours, despite being ordered later, there will be no slashed tires or unwanted magazine subscriptions? Let’s keep this civil.
