2022 Orders

That’s too funny! I don’t blame you! I haven’t communicated with my dealer since placing my order so I don’t know what roller coaster my order went through to get to D1 or that it will stay there. Keep up the faith!
I try my best not to bug my dealer (MD) since I know they have their hands full with not only us but IDA as well

I thought D1 just meant scheduled, basically. They can certainly be doing schedules when they aren’t actually building.
Correct...scheduled to start soon. But the question would be why all of a sudden it pops up when they are still a hand full of 2021, and production is down for a week. I would get it, if production was running this week.

Trust me, I'm happy for you and you have at least a time table. But I guess with all of the dicknanigans and confusion with just general information with models and specs, it's just all over the place.

I have no idea what the rhyme or reason is for how this stuff is happening. For all I know I’ll be back to C or D tomorrow. I won’t really out much faith in anything until I see a build sheet or window sticker.

You all are lucky no matter what stage you are in.
me on the other hand just joined this mess on Aug 25, 2021.
have been with out any truck since march when my 95 ram crapped out with the pcm dying.
we only have one vehicle for now. and that makes this interesting.
i am going to be waiting longer then most of you.
no tears just stating facts, besides i waited 5 months for that 95 back in 1994.

Good for you! Congratulations! But I'm pissed at the same time (not really) BUT I ordered mine SIX weeks before you and I'm still in "D" and have no other info. I hope your dates hold.
I'm the same as you. I ordered a week after you and was in C status as of Weds. Ugh

It would be interesting to do a post-mortem on all this clusterfuck (just to see if I can) but once we get the trucks we will forget all about this pain and agony! Or at least I hope so!

Yeah, we'll all have to get together for a 🍺 after this clusterfuckery ends. (Heck I figured I'd give it a go too)

I do not think you will wait the longest. The people that ordered on May 6th, have already waited 3 months. I was fortunate and ordered on May 6th, my truck arrived on August 12th, much faster than I expected, and was told. Later

I heard from a veteran dealer today the MSPR on the 2022 Limited Level 1 pkg is 2995.00 and includes:
Adaptive Cruise Control w/Stop & Go (NHZ)
19 SPKR Harman Kardon Prem. Sound (RCA)
Surround View Camera System (XAK)
Head Up Display (LBK)
Parallel & Perp Park Assist w/Stop (XH5)
LED CHMSL Lamp (LPH)
Tailgate Ajar Warning Lamp (LAN)
Ventilated Rear Seats (CAH)
Pedestrian Emergency Braking (LST)
Digital Rearview Mirror (GRG)
Lane Keep Assist (LAS)
This is the price I was quoted today from Mark Dodge. I didn't know it all most of the Technology Group as well. Makes me feel a lot better not having ASG. Ordering my 22 Limited Night Edition tomorrow.

Txt my dealer today on the status of my truck, his replay below in attachment. no D - D1 - C :-(

For the benefit of those who read this and wonder if production has started: This dealer is talking about the Ram Classics (4th Gens). Those started a few weeks ago in a different factory.

Yes, I took them at the C.A.S. I went specifically to vet the 10th Anniversary. Nope, those are not suede inserts in the seats or on the door panels-it is cloth. All 4 door panel "backgrounds", and the bolster area in the bottom cushion as well as the seat back wrapping all the way to the top of seat back where the headrest is mounted. Front and rear seats.

I'm searching/researching having custom upholstery made to replace those areas with leather and make the entire seating surface darker grey/indigo so that I don't have an issue with jean dye transfer. My issue is I want them to look 100% "stock" as if they were factory only better. Exact same cut pattern, etc. Not sure if I'm going to be successful or not.
Is the suggestion here that the standard Limited, with black leather, also will have fabric? Can't think of any seats I've ever seen that mix the two and can't imagine what black fabric they'd pick to go with the leather that wouldn't look corny and cheap as hell. Also not sure how you can call seats "premium leather seats" when they aren't (at least the seating surfaces) all leather.

No, black is the same it's been since 2019. No change there.

Only 10th Anniversary Edition getting cloth inserts. The real rub is that it's being advertised as being even MORE premium than they have ever had before. One of the hallmarks of this new Ram interior was that it had more cow, more real metal, and real wood on the interior than any other factory truck in the world. I would estimate between the door panels and the amount of cloth on the front and rear seats that they have removed over 20% of the leather out of the interior. That is in no way shape or form "more premium" than before. And as others have pointed out it will be more difficult to maintain.

Waiting 5 months every 27 years isn't too bad lol

OK, I think we're maybe getting some wires crossed here. Let me clarify to the best of my knowledge. The Indigo/Sea Salt interior MUST be paired with the 10th Anniversary Package. They are separate codes (because one is a body color code and the other is a package) BUT they go together and one will force the other.

Said another way: If you want Indigo/Sea Salt interior you HAVE to also get the 10th Anniversary package. If you want the 10th Anniversary package you HAVE to go with Indigo/Sea Salt interior color. It's all or nothing.

This all being said, it's a PACKAGE with "exclusive" interior color ADDED to a Limited trim. It's not a trim level in and of itself.

  • 10th Anniversary Package (AYG) (Listed under Options)
    • Multi-Function Tailgate (MWK)
    • Rotary Shifter-Jeweled (C1N)
    • 19 SPKR Harman Kardon Prem. Sound (RCA)
    • Suede Headliner (CHG)
    • Mopar 4 Adjust. Cargo Tie Down Hooks (CL2)
    • Instrument Cluster Theme 8 (JY8)
    • Tailgate Ajar Warning Lamp (LAN)
    • Ventilated Rear Seats (CAH)
    • Mopar Bed Step Deployable Ctr. Mount (MD1)
    • Mopar Bright Pedal Kit (XB4)
  • Indigo/Sea Salt (-CD) (Listed under Paint/Seat/Trim)
The previous Indigo/Frost interior colorway has been discontinued/superceded by the new Indigo/Sea Salt. The downside of it all is even though the 10th Anniversary Pkg. is being advertised as "Inside, the Ram 1500 Limited 10th Anniversary Edition’s interior is another summit in the light-duty lineup that already boasts the pinnacle of luxury and refinement." The door panels and bolsters are CLOTH inserts instead of the 100% leather that existed previously. I'm a little chapped by this one myself....

So when I ordered mine and clicked the box for the Limited 10th PKG it still had the black interior picked and we could toggle between the two. Since the online doesn't have the 10th pkg we can't 100% confirm. But I would assume where you listed all the things included, it would be there if it was forced on. It would be odd to force that interior on that package since I can understand why some people don't want it. I went with that option because black in the the heat down here is not the best and the old lady liked it more.
