2022 or 2023

From 2024 on, the only Hemi option is likely to be e-Torque only on the 1500, in fact, we would be lucky if they don't make the RAM Hurricane TTI6 only.

If you want a V8 non-etorque brand new, the trucks currently in circulation could be your only option from now and into the future.

I personally would miss the sound, but I wouldn't mind a Hurricane Inline with plug-in hybrid capabilities in the near future on a Rebel.

Well, they're still building 5.7L Hemi's with non-eTorque. Here's the data, not including today's build sheets:

Good to see there’s a few smart people around. Too bad I wasn’t one of them.😆

Looking for some opinions. My lease is coming up on a 2020 Rebel. I love this truck. Any thoughts on if my next one should be a 2022 or 2023? Are there any major upgrades in 2023 that i would be missing (I can't find any build info online for 2023) that I couldn't get in 2022? Would love to have a Rebel GT mainly because it's an upgrade from what I currently have - but would also consider nicely optioned Laramie or Limited. I got the truck during the height of covid so really the only thing on the lots were the BH and then I found a Rebel.

2022 hands down. On a '22 you can still get the old trusty traditional Hemi. There are also a lot of standard features on a '22 that are missing on the '23s due to Ram totally repackaging the trim levels. For example, the power inverters are only on higher trims now. Laramie doesn't have fender flares now. Etc. Etc....

Update on the eTorqe vs. non-eTorque numbers. Today, there were 3,384 build sheets. 2,492 of them were 5.7L Hemi's, and 62 of them were non-eTorque. So up until today, 7.3% of the 5.7L's were non-eTorque - but today only 2.5% were non-eTorque. Could be that they're drawing down to zero.

Finishing up the '22 orders that were still pending I presume.

This is all 2023's. There are no more 2022 build sheets.

Using up left over eTorque inventory parts likely and running them out.

Maybe they should ship the parts to customers who are waiting 45 days for replacement parts for vehicles out of service.

You have that backwards. They're using up the non-etorque parts. Etorque will be the only Hemi option eventually. Lots of people have reported that they are not able to order a '23 without etorque at this time.

Sorry about that I miss typed. Meant NON-eTorque parts (alternators/belts).

As far as the eTorque replacement parts I stand by that. Get the service customers taken care of before building more new trucks. I know the bean counters don’t like that idea because profit is in the finished trucks but it’s the right thing to do. Ridiculous people have to be without vehicles for months due to eTorque component failure.

If your truck is out of commission for months because of eTorque parts get them to buy the truck back.
I'm there every state has a lemon on that if your truck is dead for months...

I hate how everything is anti-consumer now. It's a god damn miracle to find replacement parts for so many things because companies don't want to provide it.
It's crazy how you can go to a dealership and point at a part on the truck and say "I want this" and they either have no idea or are unable to order it.

for what it's worth, when i ordered my Rebel on 6/29, i was told the only way for me to get a hemi was with e-torque. so i did.

I am thinking they are pumping out those non e-torque for fleet orders.

And yes, '22 brought U connect 5, which is wireless.
