2021 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 Night Edition with 22” wheels. Mostly suburban driving, some highway, no off-roading. Minimal towing.

Still running OE tires, but at 27,000 miles, they’re almost done. Living in Ohio, I’d like to replace them before winter.

I’m currently between the Michelin Defenders and CrossClimate 2. The Defenders appear to be highly recommended on this forum, but has anyone tried Michelin CrossClimate 2 tires? I like the idea of three peak snow rating and year round performance. They also have great reviews, but haven’t seen much feedback on their performance on our trucks.

Update: ended up purchasing the Crossclimate 2 tires from Discount Tire. Will report back how they perform after some time on the road and in snow.

how are they doing for you?

Doing great! I like them a lot. Just got a bit of snow in Ohio last week and they performed well. Definitely a small hit to the MPG (1-2 average), but worth it in my opinion.

Trying to decide between Defenders and CrossClimate from Costco for my 2021 stock with 22's....anyone else have input?

I put on Crossclimate2 and am very happy so far. Quiet on the highway. I had the Defenders for 1 day one change ago and took them off @ Discount Tire because of highway noise and ran Michelin Premiers (way quieter) until they had no tread. I drive mostly city/highway. I have had very little bad weather so consider that. I think the Crossclimates will do ok in the rain.

Do you have any picture of how the Cross Climate looks on the 22s? I have the CrossClimates on my wifes car. I love the look of the Goodyears but only getting 15k out of them.

Pirelli AS3 are good tires and came factory on my Ram with 22s.
I ran them on my 18 Silverado with 18 inch rims too.

You can get them on sale for $150 each from Walmart, but generally are around $300-$315
I agree, and really like the Pirelli AS3

How well do the cross climates perform in the snow?
