2020 RAM Rebel with black appearance package

Came across these pics of a 2020 Rebel while looking on autotrader. Maybe details of this package have already been released and I missed it, or maybe this dealer did some quick mods.

Agreed. The color of the skid plate was about the only design choice on the new Rebel I didn't like. Question is, will FCA sell the black plate separately...

Based on how poorly the paint on the flat silver is holding up I wouldn’t waste my money on a factory black. I’m more leaning towards spray liner, I think that’s about the strongest defence for rock chips etc.

I don’t really like it lol. And that’s coming from someone who is currently blacking out his truck lol.

Don’t love the wheels, they look better as is to me. Should have swapped to a different style for all black. Spokes are just too small on 18s for this type of wheel IMO.

And the front, maybe it’s just the photos, but it just looks off to me. There’s nothing to break it up, just kind of looks like a bunch of black plastic.

I’m sure it looks better in person.

My '19 Rebel has just enough black detail without it being murdered out like the 2020 in the pictures. The silver skid plate looks good with the silver trim in the wheels imo. I could take or leave this new black appearance pkg, though the gloss black wheels will look like dog sh*te in no time.

As nice as the all black RAMs look... at this pace every model will have an all black package and then every second RAM you see on the road will be all black. Every new HD I see is all black.

I personally think the Rebel looks best with the contrast of the grill and hood Vents a differant color then the rest of the body.

Yeah I agree. I like the blacked out skid plate, but the RAM emblem is too much. It needs that little bit of contrast.

Probably not a popular opinion, but I think my black Rebel has to much black, even stock. From the side, particularly when it's got just a bit of dust, it becomes a wall of black. Definitely feels like it's missing something now that I've had it a few weeks. The two tone Rebels have no such issue and look better in this regard to me.

I'm thinking of adding a character line, like the chrome ones the Limited's have. Maybe a flat black or brushed metal look (to match the skid plate and front letters)? No idea where to find it though.

They sell those door trim pieces at most truck accessory stores. They just stick on. They are actually door guards, to stop your actual door from getting dinged by jackAces.

I was thinking of a more OEM looking piece. Maybe I get the ones for the Limited and then have it painted or whatever. I think that Limited piece actually says "Limited" though, so that would be no bueno. Just bouncing the idea around in my head, looked a bit on line. I'll look harder and see if something fits the bill.
