My 2020 Ram 1500 4WD was working fine the day before but the next it was dead as a door knob and wouldn’t start. I tried jumping it off but no luck so I put in a new battery and started up just fine but now it's showing "4WD system temporarily unavailable" and " Service Electronic Stability Control". Does anyone know what is going on or any information it fix this before I go to a mechanic or dealership!

More than likely just bc of the battery replacement unless you had issues before or something else happened. Clear the codes and it should be fine. Autozone can do it for you

I have the same thing happening: a dead battery. I replaced it with the AGM, and all my warning lights are on. I went to the dealer, and they cleared all the codes, but all the warning lights are still on. I'm waiting to get it into the dealer for a diagnosis. Any suggestions?

I had this on my 2019 year before last. Jumping it threw a bunch of codes and put the truck in limp mode. Changed the battery, cleared the codes and haven’t had any issues since. Hope it’s an easy fix for you. 🤙🏼

Sometimes the truck will need to sit overnight for the lights to go away.

Clearing the codes should help as well

Mine did the same 2021. Battery died and every code under the sun came on. Even my 12in display lost most of its functionality. My AC only blew hot. I was nervous as hell.

Next morning, everything was gone, and my screen and AC were back to normal

I was detailing my 2020 Ram 1500 and opening and closing the doors for 2 and 1/2 hours. The automatic steps were retracting and coming down and I had the radio on. I go to pull it into the garage and it's dead and showing me every error code in the book. It even asked for a four digit theft code which I didn't have anywhere. The dealership advised me to have it towed in so they could put it on their diagnostic machine and possibly sell me a new battery. That would have been around $800 or more all in. Instead, I jumped it with another vehicle and it started right up. I drove it around for about 30 minutes and when I got home I turned it off and turned it back on again and all the codes were gone, including the check engine light. The four-wheel drive disabled light went out, the lane assist light, and the auto start stop as well as a couple of other things. I don't think I need to do a factory reset on uconnect because everything seems to be working fine. I will let it sit for a few more hours in case there are some hours that I overlooked. The bottom line is never lose your doors and accessories on too long, it'll kill your battery. Fortunately, AutoZone tested the battery and there was no dead cells or anything to worry about the cold cracking amps were down to 87% of what the battery is capable of what the guy said that's nothing to worry about until the CCA is less than 40% of what the battery it's supposed to do.

Last week, after going to the store. I came out the next morning and my driver's seat was pushed all the way forward and my battery was dead. Tried jump starting and when I removed the cables it immediately stalled. I finally figured out that the power seat adjustment was stuck in the forward position and drained the battery. Had no idea how it got stuck because I couldn't recreate the situation. But, I had multiple warnings flashing. After about my 3rd start, the all cleared themselves.

When the battery died on my 2019 a similar incident occurred. All sorts of warnings flashed across the screen and all sorts of dire warnings. After I got the truck started, using a jump box it was running fine with lots of warning lights on. I drove it down my driveway and got to the road were I discovered that it would not shift up through the gears, I just had first and reverse and I couldn't get 4wd, I limped it back up the driveway. After much farting around with the scanner I got them all to clear and with everything working right I went to town and got a new battery, everything has been fine ever since.

When you change the battery in one of these trucks, all of the above is normal and takes a day or so to clear. If you want to avoid this next time you need a battery, buy the “dongle” that connects the OBDII port to the cigarette lighter on your jump box, and then change the battery. Most auto stores sell them, they are not expensive, $20-$30. You also need a jump box. HTH.
