2020 order or wait for 2021?

So far the only differences on the 2021's will likely be an LED third brake light with camera for the 360 system, and the bed group with MFT and drop down gate, and Uconnect 5 that runs on Android. Maybe they transfer the interior center console with shifter from the TRX over, trailer back up knob, but nothing gigantically is changing. Likely won't be discounted well either upon first release either.
I wouldn’t count on UConnect 5, as previously discussed.

You're usually going to have more negotiating power if you are dealing with a vehicle on the lot. If you find what you want in stock, I'd consider a 2020. If you can't find it in stock, then I'd wait for a 2021.

My advice...wait. Here's why.

1) The 2020s are already one year old so you take an even bigger depreciation hit right away than you normally would because typically this time of year, you'd have very nice incentives.

2) Incentives are a joke so throw conventional wisdom out the door because there WILL be something on the 2021s when they come out because FCA wants to make up for lost sales. Here in TX rebates are a whopping $1500 on Limiteds (not counting $500 Chrysler Capital) so that's nothing to run out and ensure you get a 2020.

3) The base price increase for the 2021s is already baked into the 2020s if you order so the base price will likely be the same.

4) There will be changes but as usual, it will likely be "late availability" for some like the MFT was for 2019s. You've already seen what folks here have said are the changes FCA has leaked.

5) Even if you can still order a 2020 at the moment, some options and features are no longer able to be ordered (there was a post in the forum about that in the Pricing thread I believe) so if you really want to get what you want, wait to order a 2021. Good dealers like Koons will let you order a 2021 with the same dealer discount as you would a 2020 with rebates being the only question but see 1) and 2) above for that piece.
