2020 1500 DT Hood Corrosion??

I pray my truck doesn’t develop this paint issue but my wife’s Chrysler Pacifica has this all across the edge of the hood and now forming over the windshield and behind the driver side wheel well.

The hood is the worse it begins small, slowly gets bigger and now every car wash the paint chips off in that area. For now I’ve just applied a primer, then paint matched it with a kit I bought but I maybe have it re-sprayed or buy a bug guard.

I have seen tons of Pacificas with this issue. Then just last night I was walking around my 2019 Bighorn and noticed it's developing on the front lip of my hood as well. No rock chips, no saltwater, and only 83,000kms. I'm pretty pissed. Will have to go the bug deflector route for now - as mentioned "out of sight out of mind." 🙄
