2020 1500 Big Horn Leak Problems

Sorry for the long post in advance. I have a 2020 RAM 1500 Big Horn. The leaks started in the roof and I ended with a water stained head liner. That leak seems to be resolved. However when I go through the car wash, I’m still getting dampness on the driver’s side floorboard and had mildew build up multiple times. Even though they ”detailed” the cabin, the carpet still smells like mildew as does my floor mats. This will be my fifth trip to the dealer. I’m really frustrated at this point and am wondering if anyone has had this issue and if so, how it was resolved. I called customer service for RAM and all that did was apologize and refer me back to the dealer. So, back I go pissed off because I’ve lost use of my truck for weeks at a time dealing with this. Any advice or solutions would me much appreciated!

They need to fix all leaks and replace the headliner, carpet, and any padding underneath the carpet. And it should all be covered under warranty unless you have done anything to the truck that could cause water to leak inside. Get @RamCares involved as well. You might want to check into your local lemon laws if you can't get the dealership to take care of this.

There are three things that typically cause this nightmare, back window frame, 3rd brake light (aka. CHMSL), and the shark fin

They’ve fixed the rear roof leak (I hope) and replaced the headliner. Now it’s the driver‘s side floorboard that’s getting wet. The carpet stinks and so do my mats. Going back to the dealership today for the 4th or 5th time. I’ve lost count! Wish me luck! Thank you for your replies!

Do you have the panoramic sunroof? Is so, might be a loose sunroof drain causing the floorboard issues

No sunroof. I was reading somewhere else that it may be a seal on the door. Who knows!

There were reports of an issue with a pinch weld in the firewall area which was causing water to leak into the driver side a-pillar on some 2019 models. There is at least one thread about that but it's probably buried by now. Maybe it bled over into 2020 models?

I took a video of the leak and showed it to the service writer
Edit: scroll up to the first post

Depending on your state's lemon laws you probably qualify as it stands after 4-5 attempts of repair

Yeah I have to look into that. They replaced a seal in the front left. I guess it involved taking the panels off and such. We’ll see!
Was your issue resolved?

Fixed the brake light with a marine gasket. Still have a small shark fin leak, just gotta find the time to lower the rear of the headliner. I didn't bother with the nimrods at the dealership
