My instrument cluster is wonky, the bottom half of the speedometer is a light brown and the top is white. This changes back to normal , only for a little while, when you change the theme.
The brakes squeek all the time, 3100 miles
All of the USB ports quit working - that has been repaired
The cornering lights have worked only twice since September
The hazzard lights would come on intermittently - hopefully fixed
The satellite radio presets will scramble, some checked some unchecked.
The driver's seat fan quit - this has been replaced
I love the truck, but these problems are very irritating. Has anyone else had the problems?
Thanks

Hello Tybee Ram,

Sorry that you are experiencing these concerns with you vehicle I can only imagine how frustrating it is. As far as your other concerns, have you had an opportunity to schedule a service appointment with your dealer? If you decide to you go that route we could provide an additional layer of support while you are in for service.

There is a thread on here for the break squeal known issue with the pad design, There are multiple service orders posted as well as star case number to reference when taking it to the dealer for repair. My drivers side seat blower fan intermittently makes a noise like its struggling to turn, it lasts for about 30 seconds then blows normally no rhyme or reason to when it's going to do, i want to have the dealer fix it but there's no guarantee it will do it when it goes in for service, which sucks, it'll probably fail completely after the warranty period is up.

My Laramie is in the shop right now getting several things looked at. I just talked to the service advisor; here is the lowdown:

1. Brakes squeaking. Found abnormal wear on the front rotors. Replacing the front rotors, pads, and calipers according to FCA instructions. Parts are currently on back order so I will have to bring it back in.
2. Clunk when turning right. They could not duplicate. I figured that would happen; it seems to occur much less the more miles that I put on it.
3. Loud clunk/clank when starting. Could not duplicate. Did it twice on the day I brought it in to the dealer; started it four times at the dealer and it wouldn't do it. They tried while it was there and it wouldn't do it.
4. Top glove box door/light stays on. They tried adjustment procedure from FCA and it did not work. They have to replace the glove box door assembly. Parts are on backorder.
5. Body panel below left headlight is misaligned with the fender. They are sending it to the body shop today to look at it. They are not sure what they are going to do about it.
6. Rear collision sensor too sensitive; locks up brakes unexpectedly when backing out of my driveway. They tested the system and found no problems. May be software related; but there is no new software release. I may have to live with this one.
7 & 8. UConnect reboots and Uconnect will not "remember" USB drive. A software update was just released by FCA. They are downloading the update and installing it today.

So, I may get some resolution to my problems soon. A couple of them I may have to live with until something gets worse or FCA puts out a recall, TSB, or software. It is very frustrating to have to deal with; but that is part of getting a brand new model I guess. They should have offered me a rental or loaner car (they did not). I'm not sure what the FCA policy is for loaner cars; but if my expensive truck is in for service due to quality issues I should be offered a loaner immediately.

Now that you mention it, my upper glovebox light stays on too. My satellite radio is scrambling the preset stations as well as the truck settings.

My truck has been in the shop since last Thursday for a total of 13 issues. The service advisor said they have witnessed most of the issues, but they are having a difficult time locating all 3 separate clunks. He also informed me they had another truck in the shop with some of the same issues. My clunk issues are all intermittent, so I count myself lucky so far.

My drivers seat fan does the exact same thing. Thankfully mine acted up for them and they are replacing it. My passenger fan makes noise all the time. My truck has so many issues, I think they have experienced most of them while checking for the other issues. You never know, you might just get lucky.

I have the very same problem with the light being on in the glove box. I noticed there is a gap and it will not completely shut.

I do have it on it video at least. The fan issue, squeaky brakes and some trim pieces that are peeling are my major concerns.

I’ve had this happen to me... my dash intermittently puts in a message that my rear park sensor is not working... that it needs to be wiped.( I’ve checked several times and even wiped it for good measure even though it’s clean).. then it would disappear to have the message come on later. Really annoying. Anyone get this problem?

Happened to me a few times on my GMC. I took a toothpick and cleaned the groove out on and around the sensor and that fixed it....JB. Also took a hairdryer to it.

My Dealer Service Department at Garber Automall is taking pretty good care of me so far. I was disappointed that they did not offer me a loaner; but they are trying really hard to fix my problems. I'll private message if things don't go well. I have the truck back now and am waiting on some parts.

I had the same issue with the headlight. It ended up being a misaligned front grill.

The ambient lighting, that is supposed to stay on, controllable by a rotary knob to the left of your steering wheel.
