I have a 2019 RAM 1500 Limited with the V8 Hemi gas motor. Where is the fuel filter located and how often does it need to be replaced? I cannot seem to locate any info on it. Thanks

Looking at the DT service manual, the only reference I see to a fuel filter is integral to the fuel pump module itself, which is inside the fuel tank, and very typical of fuel system design nowadays. I think you'll find there is no routinely serviceable fuel filter used in the Ram 1500.

Nothing like my 1985 Toyota Corolla that had it on the fire wall. I knew when to replace it when I stepped on the gas and got hesitation, let off the gas pedal and it ran OK. The simple good old days.

Yes, my '03 Dakota had a fuel filter mounted on the frame rail.

A couple of techs have told me that the sock filters used in todays fuel pumps are actually better at filtration, and they say they've never replaced a pump because the filter was clogged. The pumps fail before that happens.

Why does Mopar keep telling me to replace my fuel filter if it is not serviceable?Screenshot_20210730-065355_Email.jpg
