2019 Limited interior metallic finish

Hey guys,

Been a while since I posted but yesterday in the sunlight I noticed my Ram limited interior trim had what looked like a scratch. I’m talking about the metal that goes around the driver side AC vent. If you look at the picture below it’s at the top left side of the finish. Is this stuff covered under warranty? Or is it just easier to fix it myself? Any tips on how to do so?!

Does anyone see the scratches? They are kind of hard to notice but on the upper left side. Very noticeable in the sun.

I can’t really see them in your picture but any good dealer service department would swap it out for you free of charge.

Exactly.....how would anyone prove they didn't cause the scratches, kids, pets, car wash people, valet, etc.?? If it was there from the day OP bought it then it should have been noted during the once over/exam and then it would have been possible to have it handled. And...not for nothing, but I'm a stickler for the finer points and tend to notice tiny faults but this surpasses even my criticism as being something to worry about. Maybe it looks worse in person but you can hardly see any issue in the photo. Did you try some polish/protectant which might go a long way in covering or mostly fixing the defect ?

Again, it doesn’t show up in the photo but try some cleaner wax like Meguiars. It does a great job with fine scratches in trim pieces. I’ve done it before.

Great idea. Thank you for the suggestion. I know it seems minor but as expensive and new as this truck is I want it to be in as good condition as possible.

Glad to hear. I have been using that cleaner wax for decades and it never lets me down.
