I just sold a lexus rx fully loaded with leather. That car had 194000 on it with no rips in the leather. I didn't even do any treatments to the leather. There should be no issues with leather especially if they are cared for... I have a pair of leather boots that i have had for 6 years and they look great with just some mink oil and basic care. I have seen leather couches that are 50 years old and look brand new with a little treatment. This shouldn't even be a conversation. These seats shouldn't have these issues at all.
