Don't know if this has been covered and I missed it. But this has only happened 2 times once in January and the other yesterday morning. Cranked the truck put it in gear and pulled off and it made a loud noise and the RPMs where about 1500 and doing about 5 mph. Felt like it had a Trans brake on it or was pulling a house. Stopped and turned the truck off and cranked it back up put it in gear and everything was normal like nothing ever happened.

Sounds like that needs to be looked into...theres a long thread on shifter knob issues as I was one of them...Similar issue on my truck...FCA just had my dealer put a new tranny in and all is good now.

OK was going to take it by the dealership Friday. Hooing it's just a software glitch and not really a mechanical problem. Because like I said it doesn't do it constantly just every now and then.

Make sure you take a video of it when it happens....that was helpful in my case because the problem was intermittent. Also, make sure you create a case with the FCA so you dont have to deal with any BS from the dealer.

The video will probably be harder to do unless it gets more frequently. But I can still open a case if they try to give me a line of BS. The service department at the dealership I bought it from are really friendly and try to help. They have never told me to wait Abe see if it happens again and take a video of it.

Regardless you should still open a case...The FCA gave me an extended warranty for free for the inconvenience.

Hi whetrick1,
If you decide that you would like to have a case opened, please send our team a direct message and we would be happy to get that process started for you!
