'19 Ram problems, are they solved yet?

Live in Rochester and had a similar problem with my order. I actually talked to the shipping coordinator after I learned that my vehicle had been built but was sitting "staged" in some lot near the factory. Mine waited for a train to Buffalo for just under three weeks, but I think that was in the middle of a nationwide shortage of tractor trailer trucks.

Anyway, I was told that the stacking of vehicles was based on destination area. They said mine was "the first loaded [on a rail car] to Buffalo," and gave me a expected date when train would leave. It took five days to get to Buffalo from the factory.

By the time I was informed it had reached Buffalo, it was already at my dealers.

Best regards,
Dusty

I'm in the DC area--my truck sat in a holding lot from 9/26 till being loaded on a train 10/11. As of this morning it's been sitting in a train yard about 45 miles away for the past two days.

There are well over 700+ people and various threads on the "Clunk" issue... I have yet to hear of an official fix or the True root cause. That said-I have been dedicated FCA buyer for a long time, and I wouldnt let it keep you from buying. Eyes wide open- new generation of just about any brand has its issues.. there is a reason people say let the 1st year pass. I had a 6+ Ram 1500s from 2011 to now.. this one has more issues than any of the last generation I had.

I prefer to be transparent and honest. I'd want the same from fellow owners. If I could do it again, I'd personally hold off a little while. That's my 2 cents..

See my signature. I have no issues at all at this time. Thrilled with it.

Mods: Tinted front windows to match the rears, light ceramic windshield tint, amp bed extender, rolling tonneau, and bedrug. May update exhaust soon.

Good to know. How did you reach the shipping coordinator? I’ve been calling every day and keep getting the same stock “it has begun the shipping process” answer.

I got my 2019 limited in may. The AC sucked most of the summer. Maybe more on humid days. The HK stereo is very disappointing. Seems like the amp is too weak when cranked up. I would have rathered the 9 speaker over the 19 speaker setup, except for the fancy stainless speaker grills. I also lose my station settings all the time and have a squeaky brake pedal. Starting to develop a little squeak in the front driver side wheel area when hitting a bump.

Hello Tony_zr1,

We're sorry to hear about this happening to your RAM! Have you had a chance to make an appointment with your dealer? If you decide to schedule an appointment with your dealer, we can provide an additional layer of assistance while in service.

What posts have you read where Ram acknowledged the AC issue is even a problem much less fixable? I may have missed a post on the three threads all talking about this. I am very worried about the AC one. Owners with these trucks are paying $500+ for tint jobs just to make it more comfortable. That’s a band aid on an injury that shouldn’t be there. My advice: test drive the truck on a warm humid day. If it doesn’t seem cold or dry inside then don’t buy it. Listen for the blend door motor activating excessively. Since most trucks are fine I am just hoping the odds favor me on my order. I will agree everything else on the list is fixable. @firecadet613 posted an excellent checklist https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/delivery-checklist.540/ for any truck you are going to buy. It seemed to account for every problem I have read about plus some things I would never have thought to check. Most trucks seem to be fine. Just find one of those.

If it helps you feel better my truck was picked up on a hot day in August and the Air will freeze your petunias off!

I'm not sure it does. Frostbitten petunias does not sound like a fun day.

Own and owned BMW motorcycles. Love the ride, looks and engineering. I pay the price to own and ride them. Drove a Ford. Had no intention of buying another Ram (still own 2001 1500). By chance drove the 2019 Ram Crew Cab 1500. I'll take the chance and pay the price for the Ram. Ordered on Monday and looking forward to the miles and smiles.
