Hey guys,

Here’s a step-by-step guide to installing our LED Hood Side Marker Light. This mod adds a set of lights to the side of your hood, giving your truck a more aggressive and custom look.

🔧The Installation Process:

🌟Before You Start:
  • Check Compatibility: Our kit ships with a 16-pin connector. Please verify your headlight's plug type before proceeding.

  • Test First: You can skip Step 1 and jump to Step 2 to test the electrical connection before the full installation.
Step 1: Install Light
  • Use a pry tool to remove the corresponding original panel (Fig. 1) and open the front hood.
  • Peel off the adhesive backing from the side marker light. (Fig. 2)
  • Thread the light's wire through vehicle's existing hole, and press the light firmly into place. (Fig. 3)

Step 2: Connect Wires
  • Connect the wire from the side marker light to the T-harness. (Fig. 4)
  • Locate and unplug the main connector from the back of the headlight (Fig. 5), then plug it into the female end of the T-harness (Fig. 6).
  • Finally, plug the remaining male end of the T-harness into the headlight, completing the circuit.

Step 3: Secure Wiring
  • Remove the adhesive backing from the wire clip and secure it to a surface in the engine bay. (Fig. 7)
  • Route the loose wiring neatly and secure it with a zip tie. (Fig. 8)
fig 7&8.png
Step 4: Install Opposite Side
  • Remove the air filter box for access (Fig. 9), and the connector location on this side is shown below (Fig. 10).
  • Then repeat the installation process (Steps 1-3).

Step 5: Function Test
Reconnect the battery and verify:
  • DRL mode (steady on)
  • Turn signal (flashing)
  • Sync with factory turn signals

Any chance of a similar product being developed for the Sport Hood "1500" side emblems?
Thanks!

Thanks for the great idea! I'll definitely share this with our team.

Could you shoot over some more close-up pics of those Sport Hood "1500" side emblems? And just a quick question: is your headlight connector a 16-pin?

Really appreciate your help!

Hi John,

Like your LED Hood Side Marker Light Kit with the 16 pin Headlight Plug Harness, my 2024 Laramie G/T has LED Headlights and 16 pin Headlight Plug Harness also.

I believe all 2019-2025 Ram 1500s with LED Headlights get the 16 pins connections versus the Halogens having the 12 pin connections.

Here's some additional pics (sorry I don't have better lighting..I can take outdoor pics tomorrow if needed).

The "1500 Hemi eTorque" emblem is inserted into the Sport Hood Rear Louver piece..it is removable.

Let me know what else you might need👍

This is fantastic, thank you so much for the detailed feedback!

We'd absolutely love to see even more photos, especially those outdoor shots if you get a chance tomorrow. That would be awesome!

We've heard from RAM enthusiasts expressing a strong desire for a plug-and-play lighting solution for quick modifications, as splicing wires is a major headache for many.

So we launched this light. Yes. We heard your voice.

Just plug one end into the light and the other directly into the headlight for a fast retrofit. Incredibly easy!

The Plug N Play Headlight harness is very helpful..I had to make my own work-around with relays for my LED DRL Lower Grill Lightbar and for my SilverLight Hood LED Strip.

How about a play-plug grille light? This idea is in our plan. Do you like amber light or white one? Any suggestion?

YES..personally, I like white grille lights, but a white/amber switchback is always cool looking!

What kind of grille light are you thinking of? Mounting where?

I'm a huge fan of lighting..and electronics in general!
I like to drive my truck with the lights always on.

On my '24 Laramie G/T,
In Front:
I have my foglights programmed to run with Low & High headlights, I have a White SilverHolder Hood LED Light Strip (flexible) tapped to run as "always on" with power, and in my lower grille I have a Rough Country 30" Curved Dual-Row White LED Lightbar (on a Relay Switch) with a Single-Row White LED DRL tapped to run as "always on" with power.
I recently bought LED Switchback White/Amber Grille Lights that go at the 9°clock & 3°clock position of the upper grille, but the light coloration was poor so I sent them back. I've been debating buying White LED lit "R-A-M" upper grille letters to replace my chrome letters instead..and probably will tap them as "always on" with power. Mopar actually makes these now also.
In Rear:
I have Vice Design LED Reverse Lights wired to come in automatically when the truck is in reverse, but also on a relay switch in the cab that can be switched on at will.
My truck has the Multi-Function Tailgate that opens as Side-by-Side "barn door" or tips down as a conventional tailgate..because of this, there is NO way to mount a 60" Triple-Row LED Lightbar/Strip on the tailgate bed edge, but I recently bought a 48" Opt7 Red LED Light Strip (flexible, like the Front White SilverHolder) that will mount to the top of the bumper trim right under the tailgate (lays flat, 0.3") that should just barely clearance the tailgate when tipped down. I'm hoping to install it this week if the weather is warm enough for the 3M stick tape. I'll tap this into the Trailer Light Harness for "always on" with Running Lights and switchback with Brake Lights (no signal possible with this strip). I'd prefer a 60" version of this flexible strip..especially with signal function, but no one makes one that I'm aware of.
I also just bought a 78" Opt7 LED Dual-Row Switchback Running Board/Step Board Light Strip kit (Sequential Amber with Signal Lights & Amber Running Lights "always on" with power..taps into Trailer Light harness) and (White Lights for Step Board lighting..taps into cab's Courtesy Light circuit to come on when the Power Step Boards extend out when doors are opened. These will probably have to wait until spring, unless we get a warm spell here in Wisconsin.

I obviously like lighting👍

Three DOT style amber, like on the TRX or what style?
I'll be curious to see what they'll be doing👍

This is what the white grille light looks like. Does anyone like it? We’re considering switching to amber. Of course, I could also launch a poll before making a final decision.

Yes, three Amber, dot style like on the TRX. Would need it to fit the Rebel.

Would like them all hermetically sealed for durability, made into one wiring harness (no assembly required, designed to pop in / mount easy without drilling, and instructions to route wires and which fuse to tap in to.

Right now the white grille light is in our plan, but we’re considering switching to amber!

Yes, our product design philosophy is to consistently develop truly plug-and-play solutions that use the OEM mounting holes directly. And no drilling required. You totally get what we mean.😄

Haha, you're clearly a huge fan of the lights! We love the enthusiasm! 😄

Speaking of which, we just posted a poll about the light colors and would love to get your opinion. Which one's your favorite, A or B?👇
