Ive tried it on a million different things. It doesn't have any strength and peels off like a semi-hard plastic.
I wouldn't trust it to be watertight.

I'm seeing a thread on here that someone took the back seat out and created a housing that covered the rfcm and made it weather proof

And how does one remove the back seat back rest where all this stuff is hiding?
I too would like to make a cover, even if it is plastic sheeting to protect the stuff hanging off the rear of the cab.

Screws and bolts, you can take out the seats fully.
The procradure depends on which seats you have, and if you have the oem rear storage as it gets in the way.

I bought my truck 3 months ago. 2020 Rebel with 39k miles.
Last week my starter died and I had to have it towed…
This morning I discovered a hairline crack in the rear window frame, and water leaking inside behind the driver side (it wasn’t even raining hard). UGH!
Chrysler warranty won’t cover the extended warranty back glass water leak TSB because the truck was sold to the original owner in Canada (even though it was manufactured in the US and is now registered and insured in the US…)

Yeah that's a problem most people aren't aware of. Even if the truck was still within the original factory warranty it wouldn't be covered for any repairs at a US dealership. You'd need to take it to a Canadian dealership for warranty work. That's not something a sales rep would volunteer when trying to sell the vehicle to you. Seems deceptive at best. As far as I know the warranty extension for the rear window and CHMSL are for US models only.

That's the way the system is setup and why I laugh every time I see a Canadian F150 on the streets (that have the XTR decal where the FX4 decal normally is).

It's been a few months since your original post, what did you end up doing? Paying to have it fixed? Flowable silicone?

SafeLite Auto Glass replaced my rear leaking window the first time covered by my auto insurance company. It was leaking even worse after it was replaced, so I brought it back to SafeLite thinking they'd seal it better (since there were no cracks or anything), but they ended up pulling it out and putting another rear window in. Seems tight with no leaks now.
