Is anyone having or had any issues with the OEM bed step that came as standard equipment on your 1500? When deploying the bed step a couple of weeks ago the entire unit shattered when it hit the open position. Took it to two dealerships and both told me it's not covered under warranty...

My 1500 Laramie is pretty well optioned, but one thing it doesn't have is the bed step. I don't need it, but it would be more convenient so I went ahead and ordered it since it seems to be a simple install. If you have it, how do you like it? Is it worth it / well built?

First post - just came home with a 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew 5’7” w/EcoDiesel. Looking to buy sidebar steps and bed step. Aftermarket parts sites list 2021, but not 2022 yet. Will sidebar steps and bed steps for 2021 bolt up the same onto a 2022?
