Heya,
I swapped my radio/screen out for a 2022 uConnect 5 system and for the most part everything worked as expected except for my cameras didn't show up due to me requiring a newer CVPM module (p/n: 56029968AF) which I did swap in but didn't have the security bypass to reprogram my truck. I...
I just went with the basic 2WG15 since I have no intentions of using the Fob so long as I have drone, but it is nice having the backup 2 way stored away just in case.
Just a quick update: I did end up having a CompuStar 2-Way starter with Drone. Drone kicks the **** out of uConnect and if you take into account the cost of the subscription, it's cheaper over two years anyway if you care about the security/remote start functions.
Finally got around to getting my sub box upholstered to match my Limited interior both with piping, leather, as well as the stitching detail on the front.
Sorry one of the photos are blurry, didn't realize until I got inside. Might update it at some point but you get the general idea. With that...
Yeah the speakers are listed up above; everything was replaced.
The door panel comes off like every other door panel, really. It's just two screws and then clips that you really just have to track down and pull hard on.
My system started as the HK. Nothing was really true "drop in" but nothing required cutting, either. At most adapters needed to be fab'd to make it happen.
The maestro DSR1 is "plug and play" so to speak but you still obviously need to wire up the amps and tune everything. The DSR1 is just...
Honestly I'm planning on keeping the rest of the chrome. I don't mind a bit of chrome so long as it's tasteful and I do want to keep some of the limited elements.
Honestly I don't have a ton of rattling; but to be frank you can not hear anything other than music in this vehicle once it gets...
Go big or go home! Didn’t want to do a disservice to this truck.
I’m having the box wrapped in leather and stitched to match the upholstery, but after that it’s pretty much complete I think.
Unfortunately the DSR-1 as a DSP is garbage compared to other options in that price range. It is not worth running in universal mode if you're not going to get the flat signal. The only "decent" thing about the DSR-1 as a DSP is the fact that it does have a harness so it's "clean".
I'd...
With the exception of the stereo, my truck is fairly simple. I blacked out all of the things (emblems, limited chrome badging, exhaust tips, tow hooks, etc), replaced the wheels and tires and called it a day.
For the stereo I'm currently running:
Focal ES 165 K2 Front Stage (Woofer + Tweeter)...
I'm sure Maestro/Rockford will figure out the DSR-1 with your truck, and obviously that would be ideal.
If you're not wanting to wait, which I really recommend you do, you can get away with a really high end DSP like the Mosconi Aerospace since it can take a pretty bad signal and do decent...
