Unbranded Chinese junk HEPA, maybe. If you want real HEPA, get the Bosch 6090C. People laud K&N but the reality is it filters far less - that's the only way it achieves more airflow with the same filter size. If you're okay with that, go for it... but I stay perfectly comfortable even with the...
Electric+ will likely keep the generator turned off, in all conditions, until the battery reaches its minimum allowed SoC.
Eco will be whatever they deem to be the most efficient programming - realistically, this would mean using electricity the entire time if the trip distance is within what...
If it's not providing torque on engine start... how is it starting the engine? And since the truck is still in gear, with the engine spinning up, yes, it is providing torque. The videos and articles regurgitate marketing information which is largely lacking in how the system actually works...
My wife's GW has a slight rattle in that RPM range, only heard outside the vehicle (like when she backs into the garage). I assumed it was an exhaust rattle, but perhaps it's what you're describing.
It's the opposite IMO. The coolant is slow to warm up, partially because these small diesels don't output a lot of waste heat at no/low load, and the coolant/oil and very in-sync temp wise presumably through a heat exchanger of some sort. When I use the block heater in the winter, the coolant...
Your post didn't have that information. Regardless, unless you're in the arctic tundra, you could've just added some distilled water. It would slightly increase the freezing point, but would have gotten you through just fine. Not only that but being down to MIN is not anywhere close to damaging...
Why would you? It's not worth the risk. A jug of Mopar coolant can be had for ~$20 on eBay or Amazon. If you buy the concentrate (not pre-mix) and a gallon of distilled water, boom, two gallons worth of coolant.

Here's what you need for cheap to reduce the risk of damaging the filter cap.
Search eBay for the OEM step - it can be found much cheaper. Do not buy a generic... it is nowhere near the same quality (get what you pay for). The generic started rusting in mere days of winter road salt weather... OEM is still rust-free over a year later.
Based on pH testing being done by some members on Facebook, I'd recommend doing this much more frequently than every other year. I am draining/refilling mine every 6 months. Acidic coolant will wreak havoc on the EcoD cooling system in particular and is how you end up with EGR cooler leaks. It's...
I think based on the responses in this thread, the consensus is obvious - this crap should not be showing up every time we start our trucks. Whoever pushed this out needs to reverse course.
When I last tested it in a 2021 with the 5.7 using an OBD tool and app to actually MONITOR the voltage/amps going into the battery pack, coasting did absolutely nothing with eTorque... you HAD to apply at least a touch of brake pressure for the regenerative braking to take effect (which makes...
That makes sense, but still isn't right. Service departments bend over ED owners it seems... needlessly overpriced basic services. No reason these can't be done in the Express Lane with a similar profit as a standard oil change.
I don't think there's a glow plug light - this isn't an old turn key ignition system. The truck will attempt to turnover the engine when it thinks the plugs are ready. You will notice it takes longer before it even attempts to crank in cold weather vs warm weather.
This is a great idea. I changed mine at 15K which happened to line up with the start of winter... now I think I'll stick to that, mainly since I've heard of people breaking the petcock valve used to drain water.
I'd love to know how they're pricing that out... the filter is maybe $100 at MSRP...
