When I last tested it in a 2021 with the 5.7 using an OBD tool and app to actually MONITOR the voltage/amps going into the battery pack, coasting did absolutely nothing with eTorque... you HAD to apply at least a touch of brake pressure for the regenerative braking to take effect (which makes...
That makes sense, but still isn't right. Service departments bend over ED owners it seems... needlessly overpriced basic services. No reason these can't be done in the Express Lane with a similar profit as a standard oil change.
I don't think there's a glow plug light - this isn't an old turn key ignition system. The truck will attempt to turnover the engine when it thinks the plugs are ready. You will notice it takes longer before it even attempts to crank in cold weather vs warm weather.
This is a great idea. I changed mine at 15K which happened to line up with the start of winter... now I think I'll stick to that, mainly since I've heard of people breaking the petcock valve used to drain water.
I'd love to know how they're pricing that out... the filter is maybe $100 at MSRP...
I'd be surprised if it's any different - I doubt RAM has given a single F about the audio since the truck launced. The McIntosh system in the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is similarly bad (excessive bass, though not as bad as the RAM), yet Jeep marketed it as sublime audiophile quality stuff... yeah...
I've had many vehicles with vented seats and IMO how well you feel the effect depends on any number of factors (clothing type, sweat, air temp, humidity). I'm sure the fans always work, but effectiveness varies on any given day.
Rock chips on a metal painted bumper are inevitable. Most of you guys saying you don't tailgate are still following people too closely... that's the only way you get chips. PPF can also help prevent it.
Laminated glass already blocks 98%+ of UV rays, which includes your windshield and both front door windows - tint is not required unless you want it darker and/or more heat rejection. The sunroof and rear windows are only tempered glass, so they should block UVB but not UVA.
The truck only had 5,000 miles and was never at the dealer before. This was purely the tool crapping out/not liking something about my truck on the 3rd flash.
Yeah that might be what happened. The instructions say to hold right arrow + (button, in this case RES) to cycle through the shortcuts... but nothing happens when I do it.
I mentioned it and they didn't say anything regarding it. I did figure out the camera popping up is being caused by the shortcut button function. I never enabled it, but at least I can press resume again to turn the camera off. For some reason it will not let me remap/turn off the button. Maybe...
I installed the latest version. I am still getting a possible cruise resume bug where I press RES and turncam activates and gets stuck on my screen until I reboot or go into park. (Edit: tech got back to me and said I likely have the resume button mapped to reverse cam - I have never purposely...
Yep, you're right. The pedal usually depresses a bit more when brake hold activates, and I must have been thinking it held there.
I watched a sign in my rearview this morning at a stop light and sure enough my brake lights went off when using brake hold. I don't know if it always happens, or if...
