I'll get back to you, I do think the poke is slightly excessive with the 1.5", but I may need to run these until I get 35x11.50s. I don't think a 1/4 inch will make much difference
"Doing some quick math based on the reported 3/4" of clearance on a stock tire:
295 = .35" clearance
305 = .15" clearance
315 = tire contact with UCA
325 = tire contact with UCA"
I think it might still be close, I know there's another post about TRX wheels and someone gave a lot of info on how much gap there is to the control arm based on tire size.
I had to trim the fender liner/mud flap slightly. Still have a very tiny rub close to full lock, but I'll sort it out. Very happy with it. Ended up getting 1.5" spacers.
Yeah I'll have to see. I don't think it would be terrible, I have 0.25" spacers now so one more inch won't be too wild, they're barely past flush now.
I don't want to trim the studs, I think 1.25" is the minimum without trimming.
Facebook marketplace impulse buy... $750!!!
Going to need to get 1.25 spacers, like others have said, too close to the upper control arms. I plan on switching to a 35x11.5 which might clear, but these tires had a bit more tread left on them than I expected so I will probably just run them til...
Sorry for the late bump.... How is the drivability with the 3.21 axle? Do you know the weight of these tires? I'm looking at the new Falken wildpeak at4, 35x11.5r20 is ~64lbs per tire. My current 275/60r20 wildpeak at3 are 48lb per tire.
Just got my moderate muffler delivered today. Nice high quality piece with great welds. Installation was simple, I opted to remove the front hanger and rear hangers with bracket from the truck and swapping them to the new muffler off the truck. Seemed to work well for me instead of fighting...
I'm glad they are still coming out with a new gas engine in a sea of electric. Unfortunately it's all government regulations that is pushing the i6. The mpg is not much different than what you'd see from the hemi in these bigger vehicles, but the big difference is how much cleaner the i6 is...
Boost pressure is not as relevant as airflow. 22psi from those tiny turbos is not much lbs/hr of airflow compared to a large turbo. A large turbo at 15psi would flow way more volume than those tiny turbos do at 22psi.
I bought my truck used with 50k miles and the OEM Wildpeaks still have a lot left in them. I swapped them to my wife's Tahoe because that needed tires, and I bought the Wildeak AT3W for the Ram. I stepped up to 275/60r20 SL rated. I don't tow so I didn't want the added weight of the LT version...
Installed my non slim RB20 today. Made a new thread but figured it wouldn't hurt to share the pics in this one since there are some other examples here to compare with.
Was never really a huge fan of running boards, but they help the wife and kiddos get in and out. I looked at a lot of different pictures and settled on these. I do like them a lot now that I have them on my own truck. I can hear them eating rocks as well instead of the sides of the truck. They...
Pre existing studs that oem running boards would mount to. Very simple and L shaped brackets bolts to the truck, and then the running boards bolt to those brackets.
