I went with the Maxliner because i wanted something that extended under the flip out storage. I'm happy with them. Posted thoughts and pics here https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/maxliner-all-weather-floor-mats.5752/#post-110329
I hit the up button to get off a preset station then hit the middle button again which switches back to your first preset. Not ideal when on preset 8 and want to go to 7 but works good to get back to 1 or 2.
I'm with you. I'm coming from a Nissan Titan and i definitely think the Ram's turning radius feels a lot bigger than the Titans. Titan wheelbase was 140.
I've noticed the same thing happen in my driveway when i go out in the yard. Occasionally truck will start making noises even when I'm not doing anything with it.
Here's a shot that shows where on the truck. It's not normally this noticable. Just worked out that the sunlight was at the perfect angle to light it up for the picture.
So there's a fairly large grouping of what appears to be large paint nibs/dust/grit under the paint just above the rear passenger tail light.
I can't tell whether they're in the clear or the base coat but they definitely stick up quite a bit. Dealer said they would want to try correcting thru...
Removed RAM badging from the sides. Still debating if i want to do a full Black out. I'm thinking I might keep the door strip but depending on the cost may try to get the mirrors and window trim blacked out. I think just removing the letters improves the look.
For those looking for weatherstripping that's thick enough to block the gap between the ram boxes and the tailgate I found the following at Lowe's that so far is doing a good job.
With the 12 in. there's physical buttons for fan speed, temp, defrost, mode and ac. No you can't fine tune the settings just by feel like you can by turning a dial to a specific rotation but you can still easily make a relative change by tapping the button without looking. I like the system...
I guess I feel the opposite. I don't put one on my phone because i know it's getting replaced in a year or 2. I put one (cheap Amazon) on the truck because I'll have it for at least 10 years. Don't wanna live with a scratch that long.
Another Maxliner user here. Fit was really good. Protection is great. I can understand people not liking the plasticy feel/sound though of these types of mats. I'd recommend the Maxliner to anybody but if doing over i might try to find something more rubbery
I ordered the extender peg/handle from my dealer last week along with my tonneau. They had everything in a couple days. With the 15% off coupon they were only a couple bucks more than online.
Yeah definitely made the install quick and easy. i was a little disappointed though that they couldn't design the prop post so that it didn't interfere with sliding the cleats past it. Or even better, Design the rail and cleats so that they can be removed and replaced at any point in the track.
Yeah the major gap on the side between the Rambox and tailgate appears to be pretty well sealed up as well as the front. I also used 2 of the plastic caps i removed when installing the bed extender posts, wrapped the back in foam so they'd fit snug and stuffed them in the rear drain holes. Looks...
Decided to check on just how much I needed to do to seal it up better.
Looking toward the cab. There's one spot on the right where weather stripping left a gap and a gap in the corners of the rails and bed.
And the tailgates definitely gonna need some work along with something to plug the...
