2020 Ram - Smells like burning plastic

Add me to the list of stumped folks. Seems to smell worse from passenger side, but who knows. It is an acrid smell for sure. I sniffed the tailpipe after shutting off and not the same smell as up front.

hot/burning smell after under power from engine area

Sure seems to lead that direction. Wow, only 35k on the engine. Sure hope the new 6 cylinder has less issues than this v8.

hot/burning smell after under power from engine area

HI all, 2021 1500 Longhorn crew cab E-torque 5.7L, 35500 miles. Past month, getting worse, I have noticed after I drive for a while at operating temps like freeways speeds and just climbing a long hill. When I park the truck and shut off, here comes the stink. Smells like burning oil. I am...

Hmmm, another transmission issue for me (replace?)

Just a follow up for you. The throttle body assy replacement seems to have fixed the issue.

Hmmm, another transmission issue for me (replace?)

My 2021 Longhorn custom built 1500 LB Crew eTorque was starting to stink when I climbed my road to my house the past couple weeks. Had an oil change recently, so thought it may be some spilled motor oil from the easy to change motor oil filter location. It is done by my dealer. Last week, i...

    Order Tracking

I don't know, but I have read whereas lots of sick people not showing up for work and awaiting chips for the computers.

    Order Tracking

Yes, the 23 gallon tank is standard on the Etorque 8 cylinder and the 26 gallon is standard on the etorque 6 cyl models. If you ordered a 33 gallon, then it would not say that 23 gallon in the window sticker from the ones I looked at for you. That stinks if they don't catch that. I am guessing...

    lemon exchange question

I would look at your state's Lemon Law rules as some only allow buybacks.

    lemon exchange question

Yeah, that is how it is in Washington and 12 (i think) other states with good consumer protection laws in place. Just swap the VINs I am told. Anyway, I got mine ordered the other day. A little upgrade to a Longhorn model.

    lemon exchange question

out of service more than 30 days. Mainly, as you see my other post, the transmission issues and two similar issues. I don't trust the truck anymore.

    lemon exchange question

I've been approved to exchange my 1500 for a 2021 1500 under Lemon Law. It will be a MSRP for MSRP. No rebates can be used towards the new truck. That being said, has anyone done this? If so, I am curious as if the new selling dealer makes a huge profit or not. If they do make a large...

2021 Limited w Etorque (3k miles) - Power Shutdown while on the highway

Totally agree, I dumped my F150 (forever ford guy) last year and bought my first 1500. Much better truck in my opinion as F150 has vibration issues around 60.

    Mirrors

so, are these the Mopar parts that are in the aftermarket company package? Has anyone determined if one way or the other is cheaper (individual parts or infotainment?

Rear end clunk and limp mode issue

Update! Well got my truck back after another week because the part wasn't shipped right away. However, I am pleased to report the truck drives great, especially after 44 days. Drove 260 miles to and from work and it was very smooth shifting, going from P to D or R was smooth, no abrupt...

Rear end clunk and limp mode issue

Hi, latest update. I got my truck back with a new transmission installed. Dealer said it was good to go. I drove it happily home. When I got to my garage, it smelled like burning oil. Okay, maybe a little on the exhaust and it will go a way. An hour later, I went to drive the truck and...

Rear end clunk and limp mode issue

Just a status report... Finally, 3 weeks into this vacation for my truck at the dealer, the dealer said FCA allowed her to order a new transmission. Lets hope it gets here soon and I am back on the road with a fully functioning Ram 1500! I will share the results when I get it back.

Rear end clunk and limp mode issue

I had a 2016 F150 Crew and it had a vibration 55-62 mph. tried different tires and it varied a bit. I think the truck is too light in the rear or a defective design because Town Ford in Wenatchee told me that is how F150's drive and I should take it elsewhere. So, I took it to the Dodge...
