I cannot confirm whether uConnect without NAV has a GPS receiver, but I would highly doubt it. Android Auto will use the GPS antennae if the application is designed to do so. For instance, Google Maps is said to use the car GPS antennae while Waze does not. So maybe try using Waze for navigation...
It's not part of the trim packages; it's part of the NAV system upgrade. Although NAV is part of the Level 2 package, so I can see where the confusion came from. I have Level 1 Laramie w/ 8.4" NAV and it came with a 1-year trial of Sirius XM Guardian Service.
You're right. It's completely subjective based on many factors. I didn't even have a reverse camera in my previous vehicle so this is a vast improvement, but I can't even see the edges of my driveway at night so that is where my evaluation is coming from.
I will agree that the camera has a great resolution in optimal lighting conditions, but as others have stated it is awful in low light environments. I wonder if FCA has used different camera sensors throughout production to explain why some consider it great in low light.
It probably should be included, but I wouldn't hold out too much hope on them adding it in a future update. I agree with OP in that the algorithm used by the system needs to be tweaked. I am constantly having to adjust it when I have it set in auto because it seems to favor cooling vs heating.
There is not an inside temperature reading that I am aware of. The only temperatures that appear are what you have the cabin set to and the outside temperature.
So I just checked again and mine don't actually hit the windows. I always thought they were hitting because of the thud I hear when it stops, but there is a very slim space between the mirror and window.
I run mine through/underneath the headrest. It's not as tight as I'd like it to be, but it serves the purpose of preventing forward motion of the top of the seat.
This was very confusing for me as well! If the seat is on the outside, run it through the strap behind the headrest and connect it to the strap behind the middle seat. If it's in the middle, run it through the middle strap and connect it to either one of the outside straps.
Sorry you haven't been able to get yours working again. It's definitely something in the firmware update. Mine and several others have experienced it immediately after the update.
Congrats! I just got mine for the same reason. Third kid on the way and needed more space.
This ram is the only truck I've found with the latch system in all three seats in the rear bench. Not a feature many will talk about, but I found it very impressive when you've got to install three car...
