Mine does the same. If i start it up and immediately go into gear the RPMs drop from 1200 to like 700 and you can really hear it. But if i let it warm up and let rpms come down to normal idle on their own then its not nearly as noticeable.
I did 5 tires on my jeep but thats because i had a matching spare on the back. I dont think itd be worth it if you have to buy the matching wheel. I dont see how you could get it anywhere other than the dealer. Everyone will sell 4 when they get new wheels, don't see why anyone would be willing...
Im planning on going up to 275/60/20 tires (33s). Do I need to replace the spare? Im thinking I could put it on the front as long as I dont use 4wd. And swap a front to the rear and put the spare on the front if i get a blowout in the rear. This would be temporary obviously to get a new full...
You guys will debate anything to death on here. Talking about theoretical blowouts because there's a 1/32 difference in tread like WTF. It doesnt matter where they go. Id guess the higher tread was on the rear previously because it carries less weight unless you're towing. Same reason people air...
So they measure your tires then select the size (between 33 and 35). A 275/60/20 is 33" and will not measure that size on the truck with load on it. That is exactly the issue that I mentioned in my original post. I had read a post about a dealer that wouldn't complete the process since the tires...
I'm considering going up to 275/60/20 tires (33s). I have a 2020 big horn. Has anyone had the dealer recalibrate their speedo with this specific size? I remember reading a post that said the measured rolling diameter was too small for the dealer to enter (around 32.5") so they couldn't do it...
Are those new? They have not been on my radar and look very similar to the hankook dynapro ATMs that I loved on my jeep. The wildpeak at3 was just a bit too aggressive since i only need the snow ability and dont off road. Was planning on going with firestone at2 but these look a lot better visually.
I was wondering if temperature had anything to do with it. I use 4wd only in the snow when i hear it. I think the dealer had it in the shop for an oil change and probably had it warm before they tried to listen for it. Changing the fluid looks easy, maybe ill try it at some point.
Any resolutions here? Everyone just given up? Just had the dealer look at mine which makes the groaning noise when turning in 4wd. Said they couldnt replicate it. I could leaving their parking lot. Said they check fluid levels which was my initial suspicion.
They dont make one of the most common truck tire sizes out there which is a 275/60/R20? That will fit any Ram trim without cutting or leveling. Im pretty sure the 275/65/20 would require some cutting based on what ive read. Just search that tire size in the search bar and look for similar trucks.
So many posts about it's a truck what did you expect... everyone's got a limit. Nobody would accept 1 mpg. How about 2 mpg? 10? Seems like 90% are ok with at least 15. Everybodys got a different number theyre comfortable with. Some people want the number on the window sticker. Some people have...
Love it. 21+ mpg on my commute during the summer crusing 55 to 65 mph with 3.21 gears. It comes on more often with cruise control since it's hard to keep it right on the edge with your foot. MDS is on/off with the eco light. It is my understanding that was not the case with 4th gens which...
My dad had Cooper AT3s on a grand cherokee and those things were loud as hell after wearing some. I won't consider them. Im looking at hankook dynapro AT2s, firestone destinatuon AT2s, falken wildpeak AT3W.
