I swapped out the 23 for the 33 gallon today. These quick disconnect tools worked well. Also, Thanks to the great write ups on this thread. I still need to have it the truck programmed for DTE.
I have a squeak in my drivers seat too. Seems as if it goes away when the cab warms up or outside temperature is warm. One thread I read said the guy thought it was the seat but was actually the floor mat. Did you ever figure it out?
Picked up my truck today. They replaced tank and filled with gas. It was full when I picked it up. Taking it on a trip this weekend. We’ll see how it goes.
My truck goes in on Tuesday for this same problem. 23 gallon tank at 3/4 full while pulling a trailer doesn’t get very far. They’re going to replace the tank.
The 26 gallon is listed as standard but the 23 gallon is under options. Curious why the 23 would opt out the 26 gallon. I can’t figure out which one I have. I have put 21+ gallons in after fuel light was on a while. Does this mean I have 23?
If I pull the lever till it clicks about 10 more times with about 5 seconds between each click, it will eventually get full with an extra gallon or more
I just returned home from a 1000 mile round trip pulling a 6500# trailer. The truck was thirsty but every time I filled up, if I didn’t click the pump 10 or so times after it originally shut off, it would stop at 7/8 of a tank. Never getting full. At 7mpg it would be nice to have a full...
Seems to work fine. I’m getting it aligned tomorrow but I haven’t noticed anything wrong. I probably put 40 miles on so far. I wonder why they would list that it didn’t work. I used the ORP springs instead of the preload spacer.
I would say it was easier than I expected. My truck has less than 5k miles on so everything came apart easily. As ArtieD said, your local harbor freight is your friend. An impact and several wrenches and sockets are needed. The video lists most sizes you’ll need. It also wasn’t my first...
I installed mine yesterday. Took about 5 hours taking my time. The video was very helpful. I got the Off Road Package springs instead of using the preload spacer. Bilsteins would take too long to get for me.
