The key here is figuring out whether it is the head unit, the ANC, or the speakers. Unlikely to be the speakers if it is both door & dash that are out.
An ANC Bypass would help with testing - hook it up and test for audio with some other speakers (house bookshelf speakers, whatever) - if this...
It would not be unusual at all to find an inline fuse in the constant power wire of an aftermarket radio itself - there could be one there. Less common but also possible - a fuse inside the unit itself.
Your sub has a built-in LOC for high-level input. Maybe you can reach out to Rockford Fosgate, or the place you bought the sub, or someone else local and experienced for help or further instructions with the install. Good luck!
p.s. Don't forget to bypass or disable your ANC
No RCAs - the exact process will depend on whether you have the "Base 6" system or the "Alpine" Canbus system. If you have the Base 6 you can use the built-in LOC on that powered sub.
Whelp, my backup camera took a dive this week. It wasn't hot, wasn't wet, nothing unusual at all. Do we think (1) Wiring (2) Camera itself (3) Control module 🤮
Just my opinion - I don't think you'll get much more out of the factory speakers by sending them more power; my base 6 already was able to send them more than they could handle given their puny composition. Most folks will probably advise (myself as well) to do an amp and new speakers at the...
There are mixed reports that the head unit needs to sense a load otherwise it will shut off the channel. Some folks bought resistors for this purpose, also some of the harnesses have resistors built in. Many LOCs and DSPs, including the DSP I used also present a load for this reason. That could...
Yes, mine is completely bypassed although it still receives power and canbus - I didn't want the computer to get mad at me 😄.
I bought the PAC APH-CH01 harness (I have the Base 6 stereo)
7 1/4" depth at the bottom sounds a little too fat to fit behind the seat, but it's close. It's about 6 3/4" if you don't fold the seat up (the seat back moves closer to the back wall by about an inch as it folds up. A less slanted enclosure might work better if you can find one - a lot of folks...
My recommendation is to tie in to the ANC speaker input side (from the head unit), not the outputs - this is how the harnesses like the PAC APH-CH01 that I used in my system work... although with the mics disconnected it's probably a very similar signal coming out of the ANC.
And to get in...
I put Morel CAT 308's in the dash, they're a 4" plate tweeter - but there's a catch... I trimmed the front plate down so that it would fit the 3.5" opening - and they were a tight fit both on circumference and depth. Sound great up there though!
