4" Dash Speakers

Anyone have experience or successfully install 4" speakers in the dash?

Interested in Polk and Morel speakers and both are only available in 4".

I put Morel CAT 308's in the dash, they're a 4" plate tweeter - but there's a catch... I trimmed the front plate down so that it would fit the 3.5" opening - and they were a tight fit both on circumference and depth. Sound great up there though!
