    "inoculation" against broken exhaust stud?

I drive a 2020 5.7 Hemi Big Horn. I'm retired, so it currently has only 22k on the clock. Do I understand correctly that installing shorty headers with new hardware will prevent bolt / stud failures in the future? Can anyone recommend the AFE headers?

    Bypass the UConnect startup screen?

Is there a way to bypass the Uconnect startup screen? You know.....where you're commanded to comply with all applicable motor vehicle laws and the Ram terms of service?

    transmission pan part number?

I recently got a new pan/filter for my 8-speed in preparation for changing the fluid. The Mopar part number came up 68225344AA. Using that Mopar number, I ordered a new one from Summit Racing, and the part received has ZF part no. 0501 219 037 embossed on the bottom of the pan. The OE pan has...

    busted wiper?

I chipped the ice off my windshield so I could run an errand.....or so I thought. I didn't realize that small piece around the driver-side spindle would block all motion on that side. The other wiper went through its full range of travel. With ALL the ice removed, the busted wiper now lacks...

    hard brake pedal

Lately, on the first startup of the day, the brake pedal is rock hard. The truck starts just fine, and there seems to be no problem with the operation of the brakes. I just wondered whether this might be the symptom of something sinister.

Aftermarket air filter? What's in the box?

I just took a peek in the air filter box for S&Gs. Has anyone seen an improvement in performance or fuel mileage by installing a synthetic media filter? I've used several Airaid filters over the years on my fleet. Also, what is the element permanently installed in the upper half of the air...

    AC evaporator drain

I recall running across - in one the many threads here - a discussion of the AC condensate getting behind the insulation blanket and running down the firewall. I just fixed mine. There was a similar discussion years ago over on turbodieselregister related to my 2004. The fix is to find a...

    headlight lens polish?

What seems to be the best protectant for headlight lenses? I'm just looking for something to make the bugs easier to remove. I checked the label on the spray version of Rain-X , but it's sort of ambiguous as to its safety for polycarbonates. Works like a champ on glass, but does it do the...

    New guy in town

I've been over on TurboDieselRegister since 1994. After putting a combined 530,000 miles on a '94 and an '04 Cummins-powered Dodges, my creaking old foot will not do that clutch thing any more. And I don't need a mighty 1000 ft-lbs of torque either, so I've downgraded just a hair. I just...

    2020 Big Horn rear axle

Hello all....new member here. I've been over on TurboDieselRegister since I got my first Cummins in '94. I"m in the process of selling my '04 because my creaking old foot will not work that clutch any more. So last week, I brought home a 2020 1500 Big Horn with the 5.7 Hemi, 8-speed, and...
