Thanks for the replies. I had them put sealant on the bolt and fingers crossed. Also replaced the manifold so we’ll see how long the bolts last before breaking.
Other than being pissed that this happened and was covered up, it worries me that I might have a problem with it down the road having a coolant leak. If it was a 10 year old truck with 150k miles on it, that would be one thing, but it’s a 4 year old truck.
I’ve been dealing with a broken exhaust manifold bolt and finally decided to get it fixed. I had this repair done about two years ago and it was “repaired” under warranty. Took my truck to my trusted mechanic the other day. After they started working on it I get a phone call telling me...
I just noticed the same issue with my truck over the weekend. 2019 with 45k miles. I couldn't get the bolt loose with vise grips from the other side so I'm going to have to drill it out. Just curious, if I drill it out, anyone see a problem with using a bolt with a nut verses the stock bolt...
I’ve had both Rhino and Line X. Rhino was so anti-slip that it was hard moving heavy things around. Line X was tougher, but not as anti-slip. Both are great, but I would go with Line X if I had to choose between the 2.
Got my Ranch Sierra topper on yesterday. Took 6 weeks to come in. With my options and tax I was out the door at 1800. I’m pleased with it overall. Only thing I don’t like is that the keys to the windoors are different than the locks on the rear door. They are completely different locks so...
I did the MotoFab 2” top hat spacer as well. I was really surprised with the ride change. It’s not that bad, but I couldn’t imagine how rough it would be with a preload spacer.
I did notice the ride was a little stiffer compared to stock. It’s hard to tell now that I’ve installed the icon rear springs. The icons really help control the squat when towing, which is what sent me down the lift road vs air bags, but the icons do have a rougher ride. IMO, I think my truck...
Finally got my little lift completed and installed the 1.5” dual rate Icons. The ride is great unloaded, no complaints. I have the 2” top spacers in the front. My final measurements are 38” front and 40” in the rear. Once I hook a trailer up I think it sit just right. I was debating air...
Installed the 2 inch MotoFab top hat spacers today. Measurements before were 36 1/4” and now at 38”. Back is sitting at 38 3/4”. Install wasn’t too bad. I had trouble getting the upper ball joint loose. I ended up using a small 2 ton gear puller that worked great. I have a set of the Icon...
Thanks. I just got quoted for a Ranch brand and will probably go that route. They quoted me 1800 for one with the windoors. Only downside is they don't offer the keyless entry with that model. Overall, I'm really surprised at how much cheaper the Ranch is over the Leer or ARE.
@Sjblanar07 would you mind sharing how much that topper set you back? I love the set up with the side windows and am looking to go with that exact set up.
My 2019 battery crapped out at around 33k miles. Dealer replaced, still under warranty. Not long after that at 35,400 battery crapped out again and had the dealer replaced under warranty.
