Started my truck two days ago like the
title says, sounded like a hole in the exhaust under rear back passenger side, with a little investigation found this..31k 2019 non etorque hemi, every 4 or 5
months its something w these trucks not happy.. bolt is sheered no head on it what so ever, significant size gap where the pipes
meet up

This has happened to several members in recent months. There are a couple older threads about it. Thanks for posting this. It reminded me I want to replace those bolts with stainless steel.

That was your truck? Man, didn’t know it was a fellow member’s truck! When I was under there the other night getting ready to cut off your cat, I had to stop as that connection with the busted bolt kept ratting louder than a fire alarm. I decided to do a hasty exit and come back for your cats after you get it fixed! 😉😂😂

Same thing happened to my coworker, said it looked like it had been over torqued judging by the rust marks on the bolt.

seeing how they are building thousands of these trucks in record time and only a few are having issues and still RAMs are winning awards

it can not be all bad.

I just noticed the same issue with my truck over the weekend. 2019 with 45k miles. I couldn't get the bolt loose with vise grips from the other side so I'm going to have to drill it out. Just curious, if I drill it out, anyone see a problem with using a bolt with a nut verses the stock bolt with threaded flange?

None at all. If you decide on stainless hardware don't forget graphite lube on the threads
