How are the 2019's holding up?

Could hear a clicking or ticking in front end at lower speeds. Speed of noise changed with speed of truck.

How are the 2019's holding up?

2019 Bighorn. Bought in March 2020 with 59k. Now has 86k 1. Bad wiring in steering column. (Labor bill?) 2. Bad front auto air dam ($400 + labor) 3. Both front cv axles. Short shaft and front differential ($3k)

    Front Air Dam Removal

Yes, the warranty is expired. Truck bought in 2018 and +60k already. Yep, I just need to find one of you guys that stripped one off that will sell and ship it to me!

    Front Air Dam Removal

Does anyone want to sell their active air dam? If so, please PM me a price with shipping. Or, I’d drive to get it anywhere in the east KS/west MO area. I’m not far from KC. I imagine shipping would be a pain due to size and need for packaging. If you’re curious, water got in mine, shorted, CEL...

    Bilstein 5100

No idea. I bought my 19 used. Surest way is to call and ask for parts dept. at your dealer and provide your VIN. They should be able to tell you.

    Bilstein 5100

There’s is a link somewhere in here that someone else posted. I could not get it to work. The info for my truck came from a parts manager at a Ram dealership. I asked about ordering rear coils for an ORP truck so I could lift the rearend an inch. That’s when he asked for my VIN, told me there...

    Bilstein 5100

Final update on my oddball suspension. I reset the Bilsteins to from #6 to #4 (only lowered it 1/2”) and landed between 24” and 24.5” (depending on side) center of hub to bottom of fender. That’s still roughly 2.5” of lift from setting 4. Again, there are seven, yes SEVEN, options for springs on...

    Bilstein 5100 help, please!

Appreciate it. The mystery has mostly been solved. Turns out I have a “heavy duty” 1500. It would seem that the heavier coils create more preload than even the ORP trucks. My truck went back in and now it’s set on position 4 and my front is still 24+”. The Bilstein tech I talked to was stumped...

    Bilstein 5100

Yep Yep, I thought the same thing. It was the Bilstein Tech that verified it as he was consulting with Bilstein engineers: Same spring length, but more preload would result in more lift. Again... who knew???

    Bilstein 5100

I do I do not. Honestly, what started me down that path was trying to figure out a part # to order rear ORP springs. Then the parts guy says “there are 7 options for each of the 4 corners.” Anyway, he runs the VIN again this afternoon and tells me it’s a “heavy duty” suspension option (stiffer...

After 10 emails and pics... I had a Bilstein tech stumped today too. In his words: “yeah, something is not right.” Fortunately he was super helpful and between he and my 3rd discussion with a really helpful Ram parts guy (and several hrs of him making calls on my behalf), it turns out I’m right...

    Bilstein 5100 help, please!

I It does help. Thank you. Another confirmation that I have an issue. I’m at 25” (a tick over) at #6.

    Bilstein 5100 help, please!

It’s not on #7. The spring seat adapter does go way up in there. The clip does not. If you l look at the instructions and diagram.... or if you get up under the truck and shine a light you can clearly see the clip. The bevel of the spring seat adapter is at the very bottom of the flared end...

    I I did verify part #s.

    Bilstein 5100

Yeah, I try to be polite and respectful, but my patience wore out and I had to point out the fact that the Bilstein instructions reference indexing/clocking TWO TIMES. Seems every time I have someone do something I’m capable of doing something is screwed up. Mostly, I’m mad at myself. I know...

    Bilstein 5100

I really appreciate all your help! One thing that was just verified... the suspension was tightened and torqued on the ground. He also just told me he did one side at a time, so no parts (especially coils) are swapped around. He also says the strut tower will not go back in wrong due to stud...

    Bilstein 5100

Thanks. It has to be wrong as the suspension squeaks now too. I really have no idea how to get it back right. I have no reference. I guess I will call the dealership and go from there. This sucks.
