Well, sounds like that worked out pretty well. I'm having to make two truck payments, but the ford was waaaay cheaper than the ram, plus I got a screaming idiot interest rate on the ford (2.49%).
GMC didn't hammer the **** out of you on trade in because of the problems with the ram, or did they know? I went ahead and bought another truck, too. I got a '24 regular cab short bed f150, with absolutely no options except the running boards. It came with the coyote engine and 3.73 gears...
Ah, gotcha. I'm insisting on a buy back, and everything I've paid on payments so far. I'm also going to try for at least some money for the months of insurance payments.
I think I started the lemon law process this last November. I still haven't received an offer from ram yet, but the lawyer's office thinks one will be forthcoming soon. Ram took a long time to respond to the law firm's letters, well over a month if I remember correctly. So, you should...
Electronics absolutely can fail by going temperature sensitive, both cold and hot. There's probably a slightly bad solder joint somewhere in your pcm. If warming it up causes it to start without having to jump the vehicle, that's a strong sign right there that the problem is not related to...
Lawyer was my fix. Well, that and a new rcsb f150, from which I've had zero problems so far. Making two truck payments sucks, but I don't worry about whether the truck is going to **** the bed on me just driving across town.
That sounds like an excellent strategy. I wish I had followed something similar. I'm currently making two truck payments, as I wait for the lemon law process on my '25 laramie. My '24 rcsb f150 has given me zero trouble so far.
First I've heard of it. Maybe once the lemon law process on my '25 laramie is finished I can get another with an HO. Just kidding! (about getting another, not about the lemon law)
Nice try at putting words in my mouth, but no, that's not what I mean OR said. According to at least one poster above, some of these sensor systems work better than others, with the ram setup being at the bad and of the spectrum. Perhaps I should rephrase what I said-if you're going to take...
Note to engineers: If you find yourself taking something that is very simple and has worked for decades and totally complicating it, you are probably ****ing up. Please stop.
Oh no, we're waaay past that point. I lawyered up. I tried to do it the easy way by requesting a buyback and got no response for long enough that I gave up trying to do it the easy way. After I hired a law firm I finally heard from them, declining the buyback of course. We will now do things...
