Heres Another question
I wonder if there’s a way to use the air ride to get you out? In my case I was stuck to the frame but I’m wondering if a guy could somehow jack the truck into the highest setting with some stuff under the frame and then lower it down or put it in jack mode to get...
My 2019 with air, daystar spacer in front, revel links, 20” fuel wheels, 33” ridge grapplers.
The ride on this truck is anazing, only a tiny change from stock...all around improved road feel.
I gave my tundra similarly equipped but with Icon coilovers and Toyo open country tires to my son.
I...
Heres a question for ya.....
Why do truck manufacturers use a channel type beam under a truck that can hold mud and stuff? Wouldn't it be smarter to use Steel square stock or box beam construction? Inquiring minds....
I wouldnt say ajr suspension is a huge liability- just not preferable for hard core 4 wheeling. I had it on the highest setting. At one point when it was stuck the dash read air suspension not available.
i did not have addl skid plates. The cross members and that tubular support Just dug in...
If i was a guy doing serious offroading.... i cant recommend the air suspension.
We had a situation in Arizona last week on the late archery hunt where they got a lot of rain the week before. Sections just off the road we’re like quicksand. My buddy in the big Dodge ram pulling the trailer got...
I have the Daystar shims in front and the Revel links on my Limited with air suspension. I put on Fuel 20x9 +1 wheels and 33” ridge grapplers.
i couldnt be happier. Somehow the truck drives better. Maybe a tiny bit stiffer but still a really nice ride. These tires are only slightly louder than...
Yeah, I should’ve had Americas Tire just take out the sensors from my stock wheels and put them in my new wheels.
I bought the new sensors from them Harringtons at 433 MHz and my truck wont detect them. Yep that outfit they did my alignment and Americas Tire tried selling them but they’re still...
Just a heads up....
FWIW, I was getting a tire and wheel package priced today at Americas Tire [Discount tires] and the guy mentioned that they will have a 10% off sale on Black Friday.
Its going to save me about $400 to wait about 2 weeks....I can do that.....
I've heard the Nittos are pretty good in sloppy side to side tire 4 wheeling situations.....so much so I think I'm going to the Ridge Grapplers.
Running gravel roads isn't terribly hard on a tire....its the side to side slipping into rocks and going over sharp edged bigger rocks that is hard on...
Just another guy on the internet here....with 40 years of hunting/4 wheeling in some nasty spots.
I see guys saying they drive gravel roads with P rated tires and no problems. Gravel by itself isn't a big deal....its the rocky roads that get you.
I've been running those Toyo Open Country...
Seems like guys are split on all of the threads when it comes to ride.....
I've never had a smooth riding truck like this air suspension Ram Limited.....just wondering if guys that are towing and hunting off road think the light duty tires are a little squishy or get more flats.
...
Whats your thoughts on using a lighter duty tire on a Ram 1500 4x4 vs a LT- Light truck tire for a truck that will be towing a boat and going off road occasionally?
Sure the ride is going to be better with the lighter duty tire....but is it that much better?
The one set of Nittos I'm looking...
Nice Racer.
I would be interested in hearing more details like; How does it drive? Did you loose the air ride feel? Does the added height adjustment still work? Costs involved....those sorts of things.....
Bought mine yesterday. It had the $9,500 off from full bore stricker and was listed on their website for $53k and change. Final was $48,750...plus all of the other adds........but yeah they come off it a bit.
Best is to know exactly what you want, search the differnt dealer inventories, then...
Yeah well, my buddy has one on his 19 limited, and first fishing trip launching in Berkeley [SF Bay Area] and we came back to a huge pool of fuel on the ground behind his new truck. Seems one of the [many!] local homeless drilled a hole in his tank and drained it into a can, letting all of the...
I'm looking hard at these 1500's with the Etorque right now. I'm due to off my 2012 tundra. Not one single problem with that Tundra...except it avgs 13.3 mpg [levelled with big Toyo MT's, mostly city type driving and dirt roads]
A buddy has 1300mi on his 2019 Limited with the eTorque avg 16...
