Uconnect 5: Full screen CarPlay switches to split screen - Auto headlights/dark mode

Hey everyone! I have the 12-inch Uconnect 5 system in my 2022 Limited. Does anyone else have the issue that when in full screen on CarPlay, the screen switches to split screen when the auto lights are triggered. For example: I’ll have my Google Maps up on CarPlay in full screen mode, and...

Key Left Vehicle Feature (Three Horn Chirp)

I don’t mind the concept, I’m just not sure who decided three full honks of the horn were necessary when the person exiting the vehicle would be no further than a foot away. Chevy uses a much softer notification, which won’t wake the neighbors or cause people you’re picking up to think you’re...

    Slight rub/hum/shake when turning right

Here is another thread on this that may help zero in on what it is. There is a video in one of the posts, too. https://5thgenrams.com/community/threads/grinding-noise-when-turning-to-the-right.18556/page-8

What are you guys paying for the install on the spacers? I know the links are a DIY item. Love the look!

Automatic Headlights Change CarPlay Screen - Uconnect 5 - 12-inch Screen

Does anyone else have the issue that I have in that if it is daytime, and I am on the CarPlay screen (i.e. full size applications) and the automatic headlights are triggered, the Uconnect goes to a different screen? For me, it always goes to the first tab which is one that I created that has...

    Hellwig? Hell, yeah!

I’ve seen a few posts that the limited sway bar is different than the other models. I had a 2019 Big Horn, and I can confirm that the Limited sway bar is definitely different. It’s actually thicker than the Hellwig, but not quite as heavy. I do think I can still feel a difference in the ride...

Has anyone wrapped a limited grill?

All these look great. What prices are you all paying for the grill to be wrapped?

    UC5 OTA Update 2/5/2022

Is there a way to force an update OTA? I have my UC5 connected to my home mesh network that extends well into my driveway (i.e. no connection issues - full signal), but it has not initiated an update. Just curious more than anything. Not experiencing too many issues other than some inconsistency...

Chirp/Squeak from brand new Laramie Sport

Add me to the list. My 2022 Limited 2WD has the chirp on certain bumps (brick road not bad, but any recessed areas in the road I get the chirp. Sounds like it is a brake clip issue. Interesting on the wire tie, however, mine is pretty distinct from the front left wheel. I get a clear listen of...

Significant Noise From Front End Over Bumps

I’ve always assumed that it is normal, but reading this has me wondering… Only when going over large speed bumps ( at any speed other than an absolute crawl) I get a clunk sound. I figured it was just hitting a bumper or something. This is my first vehicle with air ride suspension. My Bighorn...

Sound Horn with Lock (2nd Press)

Following this thread, as my 2022 Limited started doing this less than a month in and fewer than a thousand miles on it. There are a lot of other more complex features I thought would have failed before this one. I agree with all of those that hate the horn beeping when locked, however, the...

    Lomax STANCE

It’s on par with the Truxedo LoPro I had before. I placed a few extra pieces of weather stripping up at the cabin where I could see some daylight, and now just have a little around the tailgate which is to be expected unless you seal that off. I’d say 95% weatherproof.

    Lomax STANCE

I just posted on another thread about this. I had the same conversation with Luke. What sold me is that since it secures with the roof system, when it is up it leaves more space in the bed than does the Bakflip (which was what I had narrowed it down to with the Stance). Unless I am upstairs...

Tonneau Covers - Leer HF650M vs Lomax Hard Tri-fold vs UnderCover Armor Flex

I’m coming from the Truxedo LoPro which served me well on my 2019, but I did not like how I had to unclip it every time I opened my tailgate. I went with the Lomax Stance on my new truck, and hands down a better all around cover. It’s very easy to open and close. While I wasn’t thrilled about...

    Auto Headlights Too Sensitive

Reviving an old thread as I’m curious if this has been updated since the last post. It can be 9:00am in the morning with the Florida sun shining and if I hit the shadow of the tree my screen goes into night mode. My 2019 had the 8.4” screen, but I assume the sensor was the same and it never had...

Steering Wheel Vibration - Normal with 33" A/T Tires?

I drove it 50 miles on the interstate state, and I do think it is more of a mental thing than anything. I never paid attention to the amount of vibration/movement in the steering wheel with my stock tires on. Certain surfaces on the road you don't feel anything, and other parts of the road you...

    Wireless Carplay Connection issues

I had the Ram Connected Services issue where I could add my truck to the app, but it said it was in process of adding the vehicle, but the vehicle was never added. It was about two weeks before they got it figured out, and now everything works as it should. I have periodic issues with the...

Steering Wheel Vibration - Normal with 33" A/T Tires?

Follow up on this: I took the car in to a new tire shop that has road force balancing (Discount Tire). They said all four wheels were not in balance. The balanced them. Had the car on the highway today, and no steering wheel shake, which I am thrilled about. I do notice that there is quite a...
