Uconnect 5: Full screen CarPlay switches to split screen - Auto headlights/dark mode

Hey everyone! I have the 12-inch Uconnect 5 system in my 2022 Limited.

Does anyone else have the issue that when in full screen on CarPlay, the screen switches to split screen when the auto lights are triggered.

For example: I’ll have my Google Maps up on CarPlay in full screen mode, and when I drive under the interstate underpass each morning (where it is darker), it triggers my auto headlights, and at the same time also changes the layout on my screen to my Pages view. The inverse is not true, either. It just stays on that split screen page.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same issue, and if there is a way to stop it I would love to know. I've just gotten use to clicking the home screen icon and then back to car play and it goes back to full screen.
