    UConnect/CarPlay Problems

Anyone ever have any luck with resolving? Up until Monday, mine had been exhibiting the same crappy behavior as I posted about above in post #52. Monday I went in to the dealer to get the tires rotated. I didn’t mention anything about CarPlay working intermittently, as they’ve not been...

2020 Ram Rebel real world advice on towing, payload and power for our travel trailer?

Sure enough, Zinger! I never would have thought that. Thanks for pointing that out, I may not have looked, and just assumed that being a 2500, it would be better.

2020 Ram Rebel real world advice on towing, payload and power for our travel trailer?

I want to add my .02... Long story short, if I had it to do over again, I'd get a 2500; likely the power wagon. I like my Rebel a lot, but it it tows worse than any Ram I've had previously. Most recently was a 2012 Ram Big Horn 1500. (Before that: 96 2500 5spd Cummins, 99 2500 6spd...

Hitch option question from you towing gurus

I think you are probably ok on tire pressure. On my 2012 BigHorn Ram with 20" wheels, and much lower profile tires, I never had any issues towing a camper. I think my tire pressure issue stems from these much larger sidewall AT tires; and in this case, a terrible hitch setup from the RV...

Hitch option question from you towing gurus

I use an equalizer with a roughly 7000# 27' camper and 750lb tongue weight. The dealer setup the equalizer, and it swayed like crazy on the drive home. I have a Rebel with the E Rated AT tires, and the rears are set at 45 PSI from the factory (fronts are set to 56PSI or something like that)...

First Tow Impression: 5200+# Travel Trailer

Very similar experience with me. My new TT is about 5900# dry. We brought it from Chattanooga to Nashville. Also went with the equalizer hitch, which is indeed much nicer than my old eazlift chain unit. The first 20 miles or so were TERRIFYING! The dealer set up the hitch, and I assumed that...

    UConnect/CarPlay Problems

Want to add myself to the list of those with frustrating CarPlay problems. I have found that initially, carplay works fine. If I stop at the store, for example, and shut off the truck, it will not work for the remainder of the day; 9 times out of 10. It doesn't matter if i've driven 2 minutes...

    Tailgate Wiring

Yep, thank you 202 Snowman. I believe that the violet/orange wire is the one i'm looking for. The "Liftgate ajar switch sense". I'm hoping that it stays energized anytime the tailgate is down. I should be able to tie it into my relay as the trigger. I guess I'll go digging into that loom up...

    Tailgate Wiring

Yep. Thank Damion. If all else fails, I'll tap that one. I'm just trying to save myself from running wire all the way up there. :)

    Tailgate Wiring

Does anyone have access to the wiring or pinout information for the tailgate wiring harness? I'm trying to figure out which wire gets energized when the tailgate is open. Something tells the computer that the tailgate is open. I'm planning to wire up a relay for bed lighting, and figured I...

    Gracenote not working?

Greetings, I've noticed that when I put in a CD (old school... I know...), that I just get Track 1, Track 2, etc. On my 2012, it had the gracenote service, and would pull up the names of the artist, songs, etc. I've fiddled around, but can't find any enable/disable functions. I can see on...

    Home link issues

I’ve tried with the visor down. Homelink support had me try holding the remote to the back of the visor. No dice. I’ve even tried to do it in another town. Knowing it wouldn’t work completely as i wasn’t near the rolling code button; I was just trying to eliminate my house being the issue.

    Home link issues

I’m going to be of no help, but wanted to raise my hand as also failing to ever program mine. I’ve called Homelink, replaced the battery, watched countless YouTube videos and followed every bit of instruction that google could find. I’ve probably got 10 hours logged on this problem over the...

Best place to purchase Mopar official Mopar warranty- dont buy from local dealer!

I'm glad to see that a MOPAR factory extended warranty is still available. I was pleased with my dealer overall, but when I got in with the finance manager to pay up, he really pushed a 3rd party warranty and told me that FCA no longer offered extended warranties.

Amp Research steps operating backwards - Any suggestions?

Mine function fine now that I swapped the wires. I'm glad others are loving their AMP running boards. As for me, I'm not so impressed unfortunately. In addition to having to rewire the motor plug, they also drop so far down that they're nearly pointless. They're closer to the ground than the...

Amp Research steps operating backwards - Any suggestions?

Awesome. Thank you both. So, thinking through this in my mind... I can't just swap the wires without manipulating this thing just a bit... I don't think. I think I'll need to: 1. shut the doors so that the steps deploy. 2. pull the fuse. 3. swap the wires. 4. open the doors. 5...

Amp Research steps operating backwards - Any suggestions?

Hello friends, (Long time lurker; first time poster.) I just completed installing the amp research steps on my 2019 Rebel. They work great... except they operate backwards. Meaning: With all of the doors shut, the steps are deployed. When I open any door, the steps go up into the stowed...
