    Moaning-Droning-whatever: very frustrated

And I thought my moaning and droning was just my normal work and sleep patterns. Now I have to look for harmonicas! 🙄

Best way to charge batteries while away from home.

The misnomer is a pet peeve but whatever. If that is all I have to get p*ssed over then great. Unfortunately with our current economic and political climate in this country, it isn’t.

    Uconnect T25.51 Update

Yay, mine updated yesterday as well. Mywife had taken it out for a 30 minute drive the day before, nothing happened. Then yesterday I took it to work (30 minutes) and got the message saying it was updating. Checked the system and yes its updated. I dont understand the haphazardness of the...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

“…key turns, truck turns on goes vroom vroom, life is good". Hey, I resemble that remark! I especially like the “vroom vroom” of the hemi vs the wimpy 2.7 noise from my 2015 F150 that Ferd thought a guy likes…

Best way to charge batteries while away from home.

The “portable power units” (the inaccurate term is solar generator, they dont generate anything) is a quick option. You can get big ones for not too much money now. For example 1400-1500 watt units for less than $1K (Amazon). I have a 1500 as an emergency “keep the fridg running” power supply...

Best way to charge batteries while away from home.

Consider running a 4 -6 gauge automotive grade copper fused wire directly from your starting battery inside to a pure sine wave inverter capable of handling your tool power charging station. Depending on the cordless tool brand you use, most have such an item. The reason its better to run...

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

Ahh, from a Nov 2023 info blurb from Stellantis, the 3.55 is back in the lineup for the new 2025. I can sleep at night now… 07 Nov 2023 New 2025 Ram 1500 with More Powerful, More Fuel-efficient Hurricane Engine Family Unveiled “…Ram 1500 offers a 3.21, 3.55 or 3.92 axle ratio allowing customers...

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

Id rather have the 3.55’s that they “used” to offer, seems a better compromise. Same with 3.7’s. What’s the problem with giving buyers a better choice of gearsets? Not like it would tremendously complicate ordering or building the truck. The guy on the assembly lines either reaches into the...

An Engineer's Ultimate Guide To 3.21 VS 3.92 Axle Ratio

I’d take either one if you gave me the title and keys…. I do admit that my grocery getter 3.92 Ltd gets 3 mpg worse on average than my 2019 Ltd 3.21 got. The “extra take-off” help means zippo to me, being a non-tower. I also don't get just what the ET hype was/is all about. Now that RAM has...

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

Now we just need homebuilders to learn how to use a measuring tape and make garages long enough to park a longer bed crew cab in. My garage is 7” too short for one. It’s not like peeps dont have trucks these days…

    Don't be like me.

Sometimes its a loose ground or corrosion in a cable. My DIL’s van wouldn't start one day, battery tested good, no one thought to look closely at the positive cable, it was corroded inside. Took a $300 service bill to find it, as well as a tow. Theres days you just have bad luck.

Anyone getting a 2025 with the I6 Hurricane?

My 2019 Ltd was an Ivory tri-coat with the light interior. That was one good looking truck. Hated to sell it but needed money to buy a house. Got rid of the depreciating asset for an appreciatng one. Still wish I had it though.

    Don't be like me.

Sorry to hear of the hassles. Yep sometimes its the easy things yet you said the lights were bright so… On my 2019, the state of charge routinely went down to 12.1 after a week of not driving, yet it always started. Only failed me on the day I traded it off.

    Uconnect T25.51 Update

I'm still on 25.48, truck doesn't get driven that much but it has Wi-Fi connected to my home network. (parked in driveway). So what will "prompt" it to attempt the update? Is it only during use or should I have it on "run" but not idling for awhile?

Kinda though as much… however, based on years on the Ford forums, (and they tend to have higher payloads), peeps can and will justify most anything.

    34 foot camper

Last input on this, here’s a Reddit poster from a year ago… Some interesting comments. Note he pulls very big but mostly short trips. His one long trip he didnt like… ”I have the same truck with tow package and it pulls up to 10,000 lbs. 5.3L engine. Are you sure it’s only 7,200 lbs? What is...

    34 foot camper

So to help the OP out with some factual modification cost numbers, appx how much did it cost you for all those towing goodies? (Me thinks adding whatever that cost onto the price of a 1500 would take you into 2500 gasser territory but thats just my guess.)
