Have the truck one week and today had tint (18front/65windsheield/70rear and back) and PPF on hood/fenders/headlights. I would post pics but got home after dark and engine light came on . Only have 135 miles on it. WTF?
Picked up the truck last week. Tomorrow the Sportwing chrome body molding is supposed to arrive and Wednesday the TruXedo ProX15. Looking forward to getting those on. Thursday is tint and PPF. Going with Suntek CXP tint 18% front, Spectra PhotoSync 65% windshield, Suntek PPF on front fenders...
Thanks for the info. The loaner is a nice touch. I need to order because no one has a truck with the options I want and I've extended my search to Georgia and beyond. I also need the larger fuel tank as my 2006 Laramie has a 34 and I'm not expecting great mileage with this new one either. I'll...
It was more of a general issue of not wanting the defroster for aesthetic reasons, as well as prior experience where the tint bubbles at the wires. Would just like to eliminate during the order if possible.
I'm jealous because you all have your trucks and making great mods. I'm ordering mine tomorrow and I don't want the rear window defroster. My dealer says every Longhorn comes with it. I live in South Florida and it messes up my tint. My dealer says I can't delete it. Any of you have experience...
I'm ready to order my Longhorn but I wanted two-tone paint and I don't want the rear window defroster (I live in South Florida). However, the dealer told me that they are not currently doing two-tone and that the rear window defroster is standard on all Longhorns. I wasn't sure if that was true...
I agree that they need a real fix and not just kicking it back to the dealer. However, having Ram Cares participate in these threads is the quickest and most efficient way to get FCA's attention. They hate negative PR, so they monitor and try to assist as best they can. These guys are not top...
Thanks to all who responded. SpeedyV - good points. I do appreciate the feedback and positive reviews/advice. I currently own two Rams. Other than a couple of unsolvable issues that I've learned to live with (my 2001's dash disintegrated and my 2006 hasn't had working tach or 4wd since year 1)...
This is exactly the kind of issue that is preventing me from buying a new Ram. As I posted elsewhere in this forum, I don't want to buy a headache. I'll wait a year or just buy another brand. FCA seems to prefer being reactive than proactive. I want to know that they are fixing this on the...
I figured they would, but when I was at the dealer on Friday the salesman told me that the truck I wanted to test drive was in service for recall work. Wasn't sure if they were shipping trucks out and expecting the dealers to fix everything. I'd much prefer the truck was built right, rather than...
I still have my 2001 and 2006 Laramie (172,00 and 177,000 miles respectively). I'm looking to purchase 2019 Longhorn and I've heard about several recurring issues (water leaks, cabin noise, Uconnect, transmission, etc.). I know only a minority of owners and its the first year and all, but I...
