No, it acts the same as it did with the braces. I agree with the above comment...maybe slam was too harsh. It must be closed with more force than I would expect to be necessary. However, I think that is seems excessive because you are closing it horizontally. If you think about closing a...
I have owned mine since June. No issues with the bed. I put a topper on and took the corner braces off. No issue with rigidity, but I assume the topper adds a significant amount of strength.
Since purchase I may have dropped the tailgate in the traditional sense maybe 5 times. Almost all of...
This is my experience too. 3 of my 6 fill ups have been over 30 gallons, with the latest being 31.280. That tank hand calculated to 17 mpg even and I still showed over 10 miles to empty.
I do not mind having 2-3 gallons of reserve, especially given that only equates to maybe 20 miles of driving...
ARE.
No. But not the topper’s fault. There is a gap between the barn doors of the tailgate. I intend to get a seal for the gap but I’ve not done so yet.
I can relate. I bought my new Ram as a hunting truck with room for the new GSP. I have a 14 year old English Setter who is too old to hunt and is on her last leg. She looks at the new truck and I just know she is heartbroken that she isn’t going to be able to go on a hunt with it.
I agree. Everyone cuts corners on a redesign where they think they can. Ram pretty much left the power train alone in their gas. Sure they may have tacked on a small hybridish motor, but it is pretty unimpressive.
Chevy left their interior mostly alone. I actually think they were caught...
Yeah, coming from a GM family with a GM salesman in the family, I had to cross shop too. I was looking at a Chevy 3/4 first, but could not get the deal I wanted. That interior did not bother me because it was the old body style so a dated interior comes with the territory. However when I...
I actually thought the exterior was great. Thought they were going to give Ram a run for their money with a new truck. Then someone opened the door and we saw they forgot to put a new truck on the inside.
In just the short time I have had with it I will tell you it would be hard to go back. Definitely a plus for me with a topper as I can reach further and get into the Decked drawers better. Without the topper, it no doubt makes getting up into the bed a snap.
I thought the center kick down step was included with the tailgate...that is how I thought it was announced. No one I know has the center step. Mine has no kick down step at all. It does not matter to me as I have a topper, so I will never be climbing into the bed.
I just think FCA is...
Everyone is so worried about warranty denial on the forums. I would need a psychiatrist if my dealer drove me to that level of paranoia. My dealer is great, thus they have gotten my repeat business.
I cannot imagine any damage I will do that the braces would prevent, thus I am not worried...
