I did the BDS 6" with 18" wheels. Details in the signature line. No trimming with my set up

Following this thread. I’ve had the same issue. Glad to see the fix although I was hoping it would improve performance too. Seems this should be a non-safety recall. @RamCares

All specs are in my signature line but the lift is BDS 6” w/ BDS UCA’s, rims are Fuel Vectors 18 x 9 and tires are Nitto Ridge Grappler 12.5 x 35. BDS is the only lift I found that allowed 18” wheels (v 20”). I wanted more sidewall on the 35’s which is why I went 18”.

I’m liking the shell quite a bit. The options I did get were the fold down front window (acces to clean both that and truck rear window) and the Interior lining (a must in my opinion). In hindsight, I would upgrade the back door for a better fit. Mine rubbed a bit and I had to do some touch...

With you every step especially re 3” pipe and the bends. Great low rumble at mild throttle pressure (reminds me of an old school big block set up) and badass at high throttle pressure.

I agree with SColang22. Bags are different. I spent a lot of time on the phone with Steve doing R&D because the first set up he mailed didn't fit properly on the ORP with BDS 6". The result is he redesigned both the axle mount and frame mount brackets and they fit perfectly now. Very pleased...

Tandem 16' trailer ~ 1,600lbs plus CJ7 with add-ons ~ 5,000lbs so total of ~ 6,600lbs. Just put in 1,700 miles and I'm pleasantly surprised how well it did. I installed Timber Grove airbags which made a big difference in loaded ride quality and handling.

Sorry for the slow response. :) Biggest payload I've put on them is 6 people in the cab and a 21' inboard wakeboarding boat loaded with gear. Tires did awesome. Still quiet under load. I now have 11,000 miles on them all conditions including snow, ice, mud, rain and dry. No complaints...

I agree it's amazing what situations people put themselves into. It's equally amazing how he gets them out of it with an XJ. Nothing against XJ's.

I recommend new UCA's as well. Mine is a BDS 6" but here's a photo for reference. I'm sure the Icons will be very similar.
